So as I have received a mail from a member of the staff asking me to change Spike's age so he's not under 18 to adhere to the anthro add on of the 18 rule that was added like... 4 years after it was written, and like 2 for the 18 rule itself. I think it's ridiculous, but I'd hate to see it removed for those of you who still enjoy it and anyone else who might find it later. So he's 18 in Weekend and Hoard now.I feel like DC and Marvel comics, shit just got retconned.
In other news, I'm alive! I want to take this moment to apologize for the very long break in my writing, some shit happened than some more shit, then some more, so essentially a shit storm that has prevented me from writing much at all. That being said I do have part of the next chapter of Hoard written. When it'll get finished is kind of super up in the air. I know where the chapters going and all and how I'm getting there, but finding time to sit down and write with work and life which are both, again, a shit storm at the moment is difficult. I'll try to get it out in the next 2 months, I wish I could say that what I want and what I'll try to do mean something. Fates funny though, I'll guess we'll have to see.
Once again, Spike is 18 now.
So does this mean the CMC are going to be 18 in the third part as well? I don't know if Sweetie's age was established in the first chapter you wrote for that.

Absolute, total coincidence! My editing work has been on Derpibooru as of late, I'd all but abandoned FIMfiction due to all my familiar authors seemingly leaving.
I came on to see if indentations are used at the start of the FIRST LINE of a fic, or every line/paragraph, or just every section of a story. To do that, I needed to log in and check a few fics.
Surprisingly, I felt this feeling to check my 294 accumulated notifications; yours was the newest! Man, seein' 'ya... takes me back to when I was all up in FIMfiction, trying to work on reading, proofreading, and reviewing. Heh... The servers are located in England, or were the last time I heard about it. There are some truly writ-in-stone-tablets, thunderbolts-from-the-blue laws concerning child pornography that include fictional underage characters there... but only those who are reasonably human. Out of a sense of financial self-preservation at a very minimum, Knighty decreed foalcon ok for feral-- this is apparently a tested thing out there somewhere?-- but verbotten for anthro or human.
To make the point about how strict this rule is, in my own fic, I had to do some careful rewriting concerning the age of a character who was seventeen years and 364 days old to get it to fit*, and another story contained a report on his wet dreams when he was younger. Even though those dreams were of him aged up to adulthood, it was eventually decided it had to be thrown out.**
*This wasn't really hard, it just shifted the scene where he got in-person phone sexed into destroying his pants to the next day. He was going to get a birthday striptease anyway.
**By the approver, after I already asked a mod if it was ok. *shrugs* Not worth a hassle, you know?

Eyup. But I understand where he's coming from, like you said. The pettiness, though, that just leaves me shaking my head and going, "You know this site has this guy named headless rainbow, right? What are you doing here?"
I think it's best to just never mention ages in writings like these, lets people with sticks in their ass scratch their ass thinking too hard about how they should be triggered.
I understand life getting in the way of writing. I have a story (not MLP related) that I haven't updated in like 5 years now... I should go back and finish that up some time.
