Struggling with writers block on Not the Hero · 4:46am May 28th, 2017
I had kind of hoped to have the new chapter of Not the Hero out by now, but it's kicking my ass. It's a piece that's objectively not all that difficult, but it's hard for me to pull it off.
So I've been in failover mode. And since I am more or less on schedule for Year of Holidays, I decided to fail over to Elements of Opposition, and that's going a lot better.
I apologize to everyone who's reading NtH and not EoO, but on the plus side, I'm on a major writing kick right now, trying to compensate for all the days I lost to illness and writer's block. So Not the Hero will get a chapter done, soon, but Elements of Opposition might go first.
i'm only slightly disappointed, but to be fair Elements of Opposition is in the middle of a cliffhanger.
so it is fine
Following both of them so it's a win either way for me.
The perks of following almost all of your stories.
I love both those stories, and I also think that both of them have some really deep and important things to say, both about My Little Pony and about life in general. There have been moments of both stories that have made me cry.
You know, when Chessie, Bronethius, or one of the other authors I proofread have problems like that, I sit down with them and talk over the story so far and lay out needs to be worked on. Do you think that'd help for you?
I'm following several of your stories and I have no particular preference what order they update in.
Understandable. Hopefully this will give me the shove I need to finally break out of my stall on EoO.
Don't force yourself to write if you have no inspiration or motivation; all that does is lead to lackluster quality.
Go outside, get some fresh air, let your mind take in new experiences and maybe you'll find some inspiration along the way.
Take your time; you can't force greatness.
Ooo! Yes! Both are just as good for me!
