I may or may not make the change here on Fimfiction, but on Archive of our Own and Fanfiction.net, I am changing my handle to Kaleidolon. Mainly as a branding differentiator between fanfic and profic. It's not like I can hide that Alara J Rogers writes fanfic, not after posting it to the Internet for literally 29 years, but when I get published in real life I want it to be slightly less blatantly obvious.
In other writing news, having discovered that I'm still just as fast as I ever was if I'm not interrupted, I have demanded one uninterrupted hour per day to write. Sometimes real life doesn't allow it, like yesterday when I had to spend the whole day cleaning the kitchen for the oven repair guy, but if there is time for me to be social and hang out with my family and watch TV, there is time for them to find something to entertain themselves without me so I can write for an hour.
You guys won't see much impact of that right away. I am trying to finish up my 52 Project, which stalled out at 46 stories, and I will be working on my novel The Cold At The Heart of the Light for Nano this year. But come December, I hopefully will be able to return to finishing up my WIPs in Ponyland.

Kaleidolon? Fusion of Kaleidoscope and Eidolon? Genuinely curious of the thought behind the name... I mean, Eidolon makes me think of Worm but that's only cause I've become obsessed with it recently.

Yep, that's it! Never read Worm; I've been using Eidolon as a handle in places where I don't use my real name since the 90's, off and on. And Kaleidoscope was the name of an OC I was obsessed with in 5th grade. :-)
