Celebrating death of a guy who died in prison with some romance in the air. Now when I went in on writing Bridge, I actually went in with the motive of
A. No romance at all
B. If I was gonna do it, I'd keep it to side characters and not the Mane 6
Since then, worked out pretty well for me even if I took route B more. So I adapted to the times and fiddled with some ideas the readerbase tossed to me and incorperated some actual romances to good reception. Think I've been handling it well enough so I whipped this up. It's just a small side fic I'll be adding onto ever so often when a pairing gets some moments I felt could be detailed more off the main story and kinda deal with why those two individuals hit it off or what their relationship is. Are they just starting out, hitting a stumbling block, what are they up to; etc. And most of all, just to show some of the adorable fluff that ensues when you mash the two parties together. I personally don't like romance very much but I'm glad this side story was made for those who do.
As far as the shipping you've indulged for us, I do think there is a degree of fan-serivce that writers should do for their audience. Here in the Current Year of the internet, shipping is a huge reaction meme activity, and I'm glad The Bridge has allowed us what we've gotten so far.
And while I do think that Bridge is not a story about the romance or two characters finding love, I think it's a dynamic that adds a lot to the story.
I mean, it was a very potent supporting factor in the MonsterX/Aria Blaze arc. To the point that the plot might not have been feasible without it.
