To everyone who expressed their prayers, condolences, etc. yesterday in regards to my dad's passing: thank you very much. :pinkiesad2:

Bonus Feature: Shelter

If you haven't already seen this, you need to.

And now, the Weekly Death Blog...

Here are the notable deaths for this past week from North America, Japan, and select parts of Europe. As usual, please see Wikipedia for a complete list of notable 2016 deaths.

Note: This blog primarily covers actors, writers, and musicians. With few exceptions, notable sports figures are usually not covered in this blog. Political figures are also not covered unless they are exceptionally noteworthy.

PLEASE do not call me out for failing to include this person or that person in the comments. If I haven't heard of them, I haven't heard of them. If my not having heard of someone you have great respect for upsets you, I'm sorry, but I know who I know and I don't know who I don't know.

October 17:
- Eddie Applegate, 81, American actor (The Patty Duke Show, Easy A, A Ticklish Affair).

October 18:

"Wow, that is a lot...smaller than I expected."

Oh God, I had no idea your father died yesterday. You have my condolences. I know how it feels to lose a loved one. I lost my mom when I was eight

"Where did it go?"
"Told you she was a witch!"
"...one letter off there. That's why I did that to your boyfriend."

Please accept my condolences.

Having watched 'Shelter' now...

...wow. Compared to that, your story ended on a hopeful note.

My condolences to your pops.

"Fooooreeeeeeevvvvvveeer!"

First of all, I'm sorry to hear about your father. A loss in the family is never easy to take.
I lost a Grandma (age and sickness) and an uncle (car accident) in the span of about two years, so I know what you're going through.

Now for a lighter note:
"There's supposed to be two?!"
"Yes. One for each leg. We've been over this..."

May your father rest peacefully in heaven, Mythril.

We are all sorry for your loss and hope that you can recover from such a tragic blow...

"So are you a boy or a girl."
*checks pants*
Blonde: "If you can call that a boy."

Sorry about your dad, MyrilMoth. May he be happy in his new home in the skies.

Is that Yamada-Kun? Are they still showing that? I didn't even finish the first freaking season, then! :raritydespair:

I am sorry to hear about your father.

Not even a pill and a magnifying lens would help from the looks of it.

"WHY DOES IT HAVE AN EYE?!"

Again, accept my whole sympathy, Moth. I know how hard it is.

I'm sorry for your loss.:fluttershysad::ajsleepy::fluttercry: How did he get exposed to the stuff?

4280490 My dad was a Vietnam vet, so he was exposed to it while fighting in Vietnam. Which as far as I know is really the only way to ever have been exposed to it.

4280491 Unless you worked in a factory that made it.

4280495 Well, yeah, but he was in the Air Force, so he was involved in that whole operation that used the stuff. It ruined his health for the rest of his life and probably caused the laundry list of congenital health problems I've been plagued with since birth. :unsuresweetie:

4280501 Oh, makes sense that he would have health problems. But wouldn't that stuff be in a sealed container that was fired at something? :unsuresweetie: Also, YOU'VE had health problems sense birth? :pinkiegasp: Are they serious? And what are they? Is you don't mind telling us.

4281215 It's not something I'd rather get into, suffice to say I've been sick my entire life and my health problems have kept me from going to college or working and leave it at that.

And even handling the Agent Orange containers was dangerous for those poor souls that fought that senseless war.

4281371 Oh, I'm sorry to hear that. Are you able to have a house? Or are you living in a hospital?

4284553 I have an apartment. Please don't ask any more personal questions? :twilightsheepish:

4284679 Okay. I was just worried for your safety.:pinkiesad2:

4284820 My situation is stable and comfortable. I just can't hold down a steady job because of my health.

"It's even worse than I thought... I'm a flash puppet! I don't have genitals!"
