IN WHICH I FAIL AT RESOLUTION
Consider this my additional thoughts on the latest installment of Mayor's Break Time, because I'm not concise enough to fit stuff into an afterword.
Hard to believe, but it's been six months since my last MBT chapter. Not like I haven't been writing since then -- after all, I wrote the Adagio and Aria "Burrito" stories AND Lows & Highs within that span, in addition to my various unfinished works. Still, it's nice to revisit a simple world like this from time to time.
It's funny -- I consider myself, when it comes to fics, primarily geared towards Sunset Shimmer, yet both of my longest stories center around the Mayor.
I don't know how many more wacky adventures of Spike and the Mayor I have in me. I consider myself lucky to have had four. And yes, everyone-is-an-alicorn has been kicking around in the back of my brain almost since I started the series, as has most of its nonexistent resolution. The "shoot me in the face" ending (the addition) is something of an oblique reference to asdfmovie. It was either that, or cribbing from an old cartoon where a cat forced to face down a kangaroo gets on the (literal) water-wagon.

4207365 - I have no intention of stopping MBT, don't worry about that. But it may take me awhile to come up with another good idea I can work into an installment. Or it may come quickly. Brainstorming is weird that way. I also have at least two Sunset Shimmer stories I want to write and a Dazzlings oneshot that's almost complete.
Here's my promise to you -- A story starring the Mayor will be posted by me next January 20th. Hopefully by then I'll have posted at least one more MBT installment too.
