Quick Update · 10:01pm Jul 5th, 2016
I've been a terrible friend to someone who's been fantastic to me, and put this off a week too long. But I haven't been very well, and trying to write a blog post to do it justice has resulted in my patent "I'll do it when I can do it justice" procrastination. Ditto missing a blog post last week.
Chuck Finley wrote a book set in my hypothetical universe, and from what I've read of it it's a really good read -- I haven't finished it yet but that hasn't been for lack of want -- and it's totally worth throwing some coins at him now that his currency's defunct.
[url=https:www.fimfiction.net/blog/647885/chuck-finley-has-a-book-out/]He talks about it better than I can or will at this point, but it seriously deserves more attention, because the attention it receives will always be X-1. The bucket has no bottom.
Anyway.
In other news, I'm still wrangling Firaxis tech support into fixing XCOM 2 and... oh yeah the next 12,000 words of Mare Who Once Lived on the Moon has been edited and made available to Patrons as a free post. Though I'm not sure if people can see it, because I'm not sure how it determines who can see free posts... but it's posted is the important point.
Don't worry I'm not arbitrarily content-gating things. I'm just planning to release the whole finale all at once. This is just... promotional copies for those who want advanced updates and love cliffhangers.
So yeah that's cool.
Seriously though I'm not doing so great so I might cut this short. I apologize for the unusual candor here.
Buy Chuck's book, it's fantastic, Moonfic is progressing super well, I'm hoping to have the rest of it done by the end of the month. Or at least another 15,000 words of it. It's turning into Xeno's Chapter here...
I'm also part-way through it (on a promise to review, no less) and it's got the same inexorable intensity I've come to expect from his writing.

Fucking preach. I'm not writing a review, I'm writing a full-out blog for it, 'cause dammit the world deserves to know.
I saw it.
I loved every word of it.
...
Well, crap. I should probably spread the word, shouldn't I?
Fully edited huh? I don't count anymore.

I sent you a Skype message about it!
I hope that things improve for you soon.
4070719 And never came back.,,
Alas! The Steam/GoG.com sale kinda wiped me out.
Guess I should start saving again...
Worry about your health first, man. Horsewords, much as we love as adore your work, comes an incredibly distant third after that and your girl :3
