I feel you, Twilight.

ICYMI, our very own Chuckfinley has an original science-fiction novella for sale! I haven't yet read it but Chuck's fiction is consistently enjoyable, and the setting (being developed in collaboration with MrNumbers) is intriguing too.

If you're more in the mood for pony books, hazeyhooves posted a review of Princess Luna and the Festival of the Winter Moon, including colorful digressions as far afield as a compare/contrast of Inception vs. Paprika. (You're following Haze, right? This is your periodic reminder to do so and beat the rush.)

I've gotta set some time aside for my Hugo Awards reading this month, too, what with the Hugo voting deadline coming up soon.

Speaking of deadlines! We're hurtling toward the end of June, my soft deadline for the 80 Days/MLP crossover challenge. We've got half a dozen authors who stepped up to the plate, and a handful more who I didn't buy the game for but might write something anyway. If you want to join them, my offer of a story review and signal boost is open to anyone who wants to post a crossover!

I'll blog my reviews as the stories come in -- I know a few will be delayed (two writers have asked for extensions already for perfectly understandable reasons). But in any case I'm looking forward to seeing what sorts of tales come out of this!

Ugh, I'm so behind on books. D:

Hey you! Go to Horse Voice's latest journal and tell him what story was based on the first thing in it. :B I can't remember.

(Spoiler'd for off-topic.) PP refers to the best PMV about the best princess. It's as powerful today as five years ago, and he's sure you know which story was inspired by it. I'm very keen to read it.

And here's your reminder not to let the the politics of the Hugos get you down! :rainbowdetermined2:

Yeah, that is still one of the best PMVs around, which is kind of amazing, considering how many good songs and episodes there have been since, and how much talent is floating around in the fandom. But sometimes, people hit on a winning combination right away.

I couldn't have said it better myself as 4056268.

… I mean, I couldn't have said it better IF I WERE 4056268. No impersonation going on here. Nope. Perfectly normal pony.

Yeah, Stars has yet to have any serious contenders for my #1 PMV slot.

I don't deserve all these plugs, I'm just rambling to myself :unsuresweetie:

Already has a secret identity, thank you very much!

It is up there for me with Is Your Purpose Clear, Twilight Sparkle? PMV-wise.

Though that's discounting fan animations like Don't Mine at Night, Picture Perfect Pony, and especially Lullaby for a Princess, but I'm not sure if those count as being "PMVs", seeing as they're original animation (and songs).

Thanks, guys. That had been bothering me.

That comic is an accurate representation of me. Yes, I'm purple I'm a rabid bibliophile and just the sight of books gets me excited.
