In Which Steel Resolve Fanboys At You In Blog Form · 6:50am Jun 21st, 2016
Hello, everyone.
It might come as a surprise to some, but authors have favorite authors too.
I'll let you process that for a moment.
Done? Okay! So... there is a story I picked up back when I first joined the fandom. A little tale called The Ballad Of Twilight Sparkle. It is utterly insane. Not the perfect example of a romance, per se, but a fantastic example of a romantic comedy.
It is also unfinished, and hasn't seen an update in over four years. This makes me sad. Back when the fandom was new, Seth was picking on the author Gravekeeper for having insanely long update times, so long that I wonder if GK might be going for some kind of record.
Sadly, this blog is not meant to inform you that Ballad updated.
But the author lives.
It seems that he has found inspiration to put pen to paper (or flesh to keyboard, or maybe brain to copper wire, I have no idea) and has put out a little story.
It is also utterly insane, in the finest of ways.
Maybe you'd like to give it a read? He crawled his way out of the grave to put it out there.
Neat story, thanks for the tip. Now my hopes are up for more Ballad
Oh I thought this might be a post that was going to have something about a sequel to So, You've Grown Wings which I've would of liked. But this new story you've brought up seams like a good read so I'll read it latter.
4038095 It's of a similar type to Wings, so I thought fans of that story would find it interesting.
4038099 okay
Wait, Gravekeeper's finally off his tush? Ballad of Twilight Sparkle was my first read when it was still new! It's one of those I've been hoping all these years would return to update status, alongside Growing Pains by Peroth E. I was stricken when I heard that was cancelled.
Time to go see his new thing.
