Horn Tooting · 4:46am Apr 9th, 2016
I've had:
The outside world notice some of my stuff recently, so I thought I'd do some horn tooting.
We'll start with one that's partially Pony related. See, my novel Morning, Noon & Night started out as Half the Day is Night, the novel I wrote during the last half of season one. Chris gave it a review a year and a half ago when I first replaced all the Pony bits with non-Pony bits and self-published it, but now Fred Patten has taken a look at it, too.
Patten also did a write-up of my completely nonPony novel Rat's Reputation, and I just learned that ol' Rat went and got himself nominated for a Coyotl award for Best Anthropomorphic Novel of 2015 by the members of the Furry Writers' Guild. One of the other novels on the list, Lawrence Schoen's Barsk, has also been nominated for a Nebula Award this year, so I don't hold out much hope for Rat prevailing, but it's nice to know that folks enjoyed the book.

The outside world?!? Hsss!Sorry, that's my default introvert responseCongratulations! Even if Rat doesn't prevail, that's quite an honor to be in the running next to a Nebula nominee.
Cool! Half the Day is Night is one of the first pony fanfics I read that I found seriously good. (I'm still impressed how well you pulled off the OC romance with Rarity in it!)
Grahh, I still have to read that. ;_;
Wait... I've read Half the Day. *Checks* Only halfway, it seems, and I have no idea why I stopped.
Back on the RiL it goes!
Nice! A Fred Patten review is like the furry equivalent of a Roger Ebert rating. You've got the eye of the godfather of the fandom.![:twilightsmile:](https://static.fimfiction.net/images/emoticons/twilightsmile.png)
