Weatherpony Featured · 4:46pm Mar 5th, 2016

And today my fifth story to get featured is the recently released Weatherpony, which I'm pretty chuffed about. More interestingly, though, is that it only got featured with less than 100 views, which I don't see all that often. In fact, since it got released, statistically speaking 1/3rd of readers enjoyed the story, which is pretty cool.

It's still not gotten a lot of exposure just yet, but here's hoping that'll get turned around, else it'll drop out of that feature box as quickly as it went in. I also can't wait to see what some of the other contestants for the Scribblefest will write. I remember having a fair bit of fun with them last time, and even went out of my way to add a few stories I thought were nice to the Goodfic Bin. Out of thirteen stories read, I think four got in, so if you entered, be sure to let me know. Contests are a weak spot for me, so they're usually the only time I read stories outside of TGB story approving.

On a more 'what else am I doing with my life outside of repeatedly spamming the word weatherpony', I'm still slowly getting through Versus Light, which is going well. It's probably going to be my longest story yet, which doesn't surprise me: the story includes such exciting things as flying so fast you catch fire, a mysterious island belonging to a forgotten civilization, space, and Daring Do, among many other things. I'm really excited to finish the story and get editing, so keep an eye out for any news on that front!

Like I said it was unique

3793119 That's not the half of it. It almost beat a site record.

When it went up, it was the third story with the least views to get featured: out of 4500, only two more had less views. That's special and strange all at the same time.

I suggested it was good to be featured

3793131 Well, here's hoping it wins the contest, too.

Congratulations!

Always fun to see a low view story make it and see how the numbers grow.

3793185 In my case, very little. But I've got three others that did very well indeed, so I'm hardly too beefed about that.
