Double post today before I go to bed. There's a new chapter for Rescuer up, as well as an entry for the StarTrixMaud contest, edited by Lofty Withers and WritingSpirit, about Starlight overthinking things. It was actually pretty tricky to write and it was edited up to the last minute, which was exciting.

Rescuer will hopefully be getting something soonish as well, since I've been having a lot of fun with it over the past year. It's kind of the writing equivalent of comfort food to me, so as things get stressful it's an easy, cozy place for me to go back to, and I like that folks are enjoying it!

I've also been playing around with some more art! I've almost figured out eyes.

Hope you enjoy the stories, and good luck!

I'm sure I will, you a good writer.

I wish I had the skill and equipment to draw like that. 😬

5609564 Well the equipment isn't to be fair *that* costly; the tablet I use isn't an especially expensive one. I think it's the wacom intuos s, which by now is pretty old and you could get a previously owned one from ebay for probably under 50 dollary-doos, and there are cheaper alternatives to that as well (though I can't speak for them personally). As for software, I use clip, which I got on sale, but there are free alternatives like Krita which folks talk about pretty highly. My setup is pretty much a sub £100 one, which isn't negligible, but fairly accessible. It's not amazing, but you know, for hobbyist art like what I do, it kinda does the job.

Not to mention, with a scanner, you can bypass the tablet, but it's a fairly unintuitive process. It can be done though! I still much prefer having a tablet though since it opens up a lot of options...

As for skills, I didn't really take lessons, but I have been dabbling in art for about four years by this point... I don't consider myself a terribly serious artist but I find it relaxing to do for fun and when things turn out okay-ish, all the better. I've even dabbled in animation! Link for some examples.
