I haven't felt like this in a long time · 8:53pm Feb 21st, 2016
I wouldn't say that I feel like I've royally screwed up. There are more important bundles of things I could've lost than my main school binder and the calculators and other supplies contained in it. The various facilities have not turned up anything yet, but tomorrow will likely be the deciding day. Various rooms will be unlocked previously locked for the weekend, and somebody who might've found my binder might come to campus to turn it in tomorrow.
However, I'm not too confident that if somebody was deliberate enough to pick up a binder as replete and burdensome as mine was, that individual would be intent on returning it to me.
In other news, I'm doing what I can. I got some work done this weekend, but I've been uncharacteristically sluggish. It's funny; I don't feel totally devastated, but I certainly don't feel very determined. I walk frustratingly slowly; time just seems to run past. We went out to eat, and I have some garlic bread saved for later. They also brought me some supplies from back home I had requested, and they also brought me back my other TI-30X IIS. I'll have that, at least, for my math courses. They also took me to a rather distant Walmart to purchase a couple calculators I had stored in my binder. Hopefully I'll get my binder back and won't have to break open the packaging to use them, and I'll just be able to return them to the story when I go off for spring break at the end of next week. Of course, my class handouts and notes are gone unless I get my binder back with everything inside, but I may very well survive without it. At least I didn't have any actively due assignments in it.
As scheduled, my grandparents came today to visit me and take me out to eat. I was nice talking with them for a while, although not much has changed back home. We're consternated about the state of our nation and its leaders, but who isn't?
Hell, I don't even feel like sending llama badges on dA to get my mind off all this.

It can always be worse dude, not to throw out my own woes but its all about perspective in the last year I've got a DUI been deployed and almost shot down a dozen times. Keep your head up things only get better, but a lot of it is all based on perspective.
That really blows. I'm sorry that happened. BUT (and I know you probably don't want to hear something like this right now), but this kind of situation is a great opportunity for growth and to realize just how savvy you are. The suckiness will pass, I promise. But while it's here, attempt to kick its ass.

Indeed. It could be a number of degrees worse than it is. It's just that I've never lost all my schoolwork before. I'm feeling a bit better about it than I did yesterday; it still sucks, but at least I haven't tripped, slipped, and broken my hip in addition.

Yeah. Funny thing: I completed my calculus III homework yesterday even though I barely recalled the lecture on the material on Thursday, and I still do have my binder, notes, and homework for my probability and statistics class, which pretty much comes before all my other classes in importance and in difficulty and got that homework done, too, so I'm not totally behind because of this.
I would feel much better with that dirty binder back in my hands, though. Instead, I have dirtier and beaten-up binder as replacement. That's all I really can do now. Wait and hope it may be returned. I've done all I can to look for it and have others looking for it, too. The great thing is that it's highly distinguishable from other binders, so I have that going for me.
