Littlest Pet Shop pushes the line again... · 5:21pm Jan 16th, 2016

Today's episode has a musical number, "The Guilty Tango", which is just...YIKES.

Watch for it on Youtube. :rainbowderp:

(Or check it out on Netflix, because this episode is apparently already available there. The episode is "Guilt Tripping.")

They seem to be doing this a lot lately.

3690721 It's the final season. They're getting away with anything they can get away with.

Does it have pennussell?

Nev mind, I found it.

I don't watch the show, what did they do?

At least it's catchy.

...what the what? I mean, this almost qualifies for "Out of Context Musical Number Theater #1"

3690754 ...well that happened.

3690803 Yep! And just remember, a lot of the same people who work on My Little Pony work on Littlest Pet Shop. Which means, among other things, that song was by Daniel Ingram, with Ashleigh Ball (as Blythe) and Tabitha St. Germain (as Pepper) singing.

I don't exactly understand what about that musical number was pushing any lines...

That was a thing... and I liked it. i need to hurry up and power through the rest of LPS to get there.

Literally what I said when I saw it. :rainbowderp:

3691246 It's a lot darker and creepier than what you'd normally see on a Y-rated Saturday morning cartoon whose target audience is girls age 9-13.

lets count em.
1; teenage girls tied up in what could honestly be bondage gear.
2; EMOEMOEMOEMOEMO
3; we know what the skunk really said...
4; alligators tryin to eat a girl. by dragging her into a pit. by her hair.(gators can do some NASTY damage mate...)
the first two are enough really, but still...damn dude.

3691536 We've seen worse in MLP:FiM several times in all those categories. So, yeah. Still not seeing the issue here.

KaiinZero's List:
1: That's just standard villain capture tying. I've seen bondage ties and those are not them.
2: What are you trying to say here?
3: What line are you referring to? I didn't hear anything that was worse than the fairly common "What the buck" and "What the hay" lines in MLP.
4: Alligators are nothing compared to Cockatrices, Chimeras, and Hydras.

3691843

fairly common "What the buck"

An expression which has never, not ONCE, been used in the show. That's PURELY used by the fandom and in fanfiction.

3691852 Oh? Maybe I'm remembering wrong. "What the hay" is still quite common though right? If so my statement stands.

Now the skunk is downing something rotten. Avgn ref.
