[MBF,L] General Progress Update + Reminders · 9:29am Jan 4th, 2016
Hey all!
I hope your holidays and New Years were awesome! Now, I'm sure you're all seeing that it's been over a month since last update (time flies, holy hell), and rest assured I'm well aware of it. Over Winter Break, I've been scrambling to get caught up with so many things I've been behind on, namely stories. There's a few other oneshots that need to be done (one that I didn't do at all because of reasons) but aside from my ramblings, YOU all are next in line for the update. I have no timetable, as I've realized that if I give a time estimate, the less likely I am to meet that deadline.
Now, moving forward, I'm here to talk about the ending of the story. To those of you who follow me, in many blog posts, I've stated that this story officially ends on Part 25. I never intended for this story to be long and involved; only a lighthearted comedy with some mild conflict and sex, but ultimately having a nice ending. Heck, even in some author's notes, I've highlighted the fact that the story was coming to an end rather soon. As of last chapter, I had seen quite a few people speculating on bad things potentially to come, which leaves me with a mild edge of concern. Allow me to explain.
Guys, I'm sure there's at least one story you can all think of where, it was awesome, it did well by you, but then the ending came and it was absolute SHIT. Almost to the point where it ruined the story and maybe switched your upvote to a downvote. Naturally, if people are expecting some more bad shit to happen in the last two chapters, I'm afraid I'm going to have to disappoint some people. It's been fun so far, but come part 25, this story has run its course, and yeah, there's quite a lot I could add to it in terms of drama and stuff, but what would that accomplish, really? In the grand scheme of things, I personally, as an author, feel that this story is just fine the way it is and the way it will end. Naturally, not everyone will like the ending for whatever reasons they may have; hell, people left when I explicitly stated there wouldn't be any harems inbound. Perfectly fine, but to those who have been REALLY enjoying the ride thus far, I just want you all to be prepared on what's to come. Part 25 will be no pussy chapter either, it's gonna be packed with everything I feel needs to be mentioned, so you can expect well-over the 4000-word average, and probably closer to Part 23's of ~10,000. We'll see.
Either way, we're moving along, and to those still enjoying themselves, I truly, truly hope everything works out in a way that's at least half-way satisfactory to you, and the only purpose of this was just to clear the air of misunderstanding (to at least the followers). I'll say this again in the author's note of the upcoming Part 24.

But the real question is...will I be able to fap to it?
I have to say, there are three lines I'd love to see said in this story, and the fallout of said lines.
Line 1:
Celestia: His name is Tirek.
Line 2:
Frederick: Luna...what's the Tantabus?
Line 3:
Luna: Fred...I'm pregnant.
Pretty sure you've already stated the third won't happen...but I'd still love to see how Fred would handle the Tirek arc (still inbound, since Twilight still lives in Golden Oaks), and learning that Luna's been torturing herself over Nightmare Moon.
So the end is near. I'm dreading it because it will mean the end of the story, but looking for it because yay, more story!
And as you said, it'll probably be a long chapter. Which is another yay
