Some people asked about a sequel in the comments, so I should note that I have no plans for one at the moment. I wrote the story on the spur of the moment (along with another depressing EG story, though the other one had a happier ending), and I didn't really plan on making it a series. If someone else wants to continue it, I'd be honored, but I myself don't intend to do so at this time.
Pfff I'd love to continue this story. I don't know why I feel so inclined to Mad!Twilight... But I have my own fics, and I'm already a very slow writer... So I hope someone else do so!

If my creative juices weren't also being tickled by my own ideas for an Equestria Girls based story I might consider taking this on, but you're better suited to this kind of story anyway so I'll just hope the inspiration bug bites you some more with this idea. Regardless if you ever continue it congrats on the story getting featured.
No sequel? Bleh. Do you know how many people actually decide to write sequels to stories they haven't wrote that turn out actually good? I can assure you it's in the very very low double digits, which is disappointing. It's a good thing I saw this blog post before I decided to follow you, because now I know I don't have to expect something that you said yourself you don't intend to do.
Don't misunderstand my bashing, I love the story, it's great. But it deserves a sequel by the only person that can do it justice, the one who wrote it.
Well shit. I hate it when stories end on a downer. But at least this had a sliver of hope for Sunset, so I guess I'll take what I can get.

I suppose nobody can force you to, but it's still a shame. There's just so much potential in that. It's better than the other pony/Matrix mashup that was recently featured too, that's for certain.

My own story ideas for the Equestria Girls universe are still forming, but after seeing Friendship games and with human Twilight joining the cast I find myself wanting to do something along the lines of a heavily occult themed story centered on Sunset and the girls investigating strange supernatural occurrences in the city that get them mixed up in a very World of Darkness/The Secret World/Call of Cthulu style situations where they learn the human world does have magic of its own but it's hidden beneath a veil of secret societies and cults, many of which are now interested in CHS and it's portal to Equestria.
Oh how easy it is to look over things when you're in a hurry to catch up to Halloween because of stuff. I had began to follow you about a week before Halloween so I know this is late and stuff. If I had known this was a thing, had I not been working on other things, I may have taken a shot. I may take a shot at a sequel when I finally finish up my five other stories in the works. But I did love the story. And just like some other great authors you leave the ending up to the reader's interpretation and I like that.
