I LOVED the new episode for VERY obvious reasons!
but most importantly...
SOARIN got a lot of scene and speaking time! I was cringing when he was all angry at Dash, but knowing how the show works i was certain everything was gonna turn out well. (not to mention the moment Wind Rider showed up i pointed at the screen and yelled ANTAGONIST! xD)
But...

I'm gonna be perfectly honest here, im GLAD Fleetfoot didn't have any lines, because her in show voice makes me cringe 
well i dunno if it was so much the voice as it was the voice mixed with how she acted, but yeah.
However...
there is one part of the episode that made me die a little on the inside... comically
When i saw her...
I started saying to myself over and over.
Don't speak... Don't Speak... Don't Speak... Don't Speak... DON'T SPEAK!!!!!!!!!!!

i mean, okay I know I've just gotten so used to writing her as a mute... i had to pause the video and stare at the screen, defeated for a few minutes 
Over all it was great to see the Wonderbolts, hear new ones talk, see Blaze be an actual character and not just Spitfre with unfinished colors. Soarin got lots of scene time as best pony should 
(we got to see him sitting on a floor eating pie ) and we got to see more Soarin and rainbow Dash interaction even if some of it was harsh due to her being framed.

Yeeeeaaahhhh, I was pretty bummed when Misty talked too. And I wish Spitfire's voice was just a teensy bit less gritty? It seems to me her voice was a little more pleasant in Wonderbolt Academy, and that's how I hear her in PtH. But hey, cool episode~
At least they didn't make Silver speak in some young, soft voice. THAT would've killed a piece of ME.
Glad I wasn't the only one pointing at the screen screaming villain.

This episode was a lot of fun. I'm really glad we got to see more of the WONDERBOLTS! Squee!
Maybe my favourite episode ever cause of pth. I was thinking the same with misty as she is my fav pony. To keep my iner rage inside I am just saying to myself blaze disguised herself for that scene. Rage keep down please. (Stupid Hasbro)

I had to laugh when Soarin talked about integrity. Dude, Spitfire encouraged Lightning Dust's reckless behavior and then threw her out.
Then Spitfire and Fleet Foot threw Soarin under the bus in Rainbow Falls. What integrity is he talking about? Did he forget what Rainbow did in that episode for him?
Of course, this was Rarity's episode and she was in top form. Rainbow was kinda useless. Not a good Watson.
We got lots of memorable faces from that episode. But it mostly killed me with Dashabetes...

omg i loved this episode but i was the same im so used to her mute that i was cried when she spoke

Also completly off topic but something i picked up on
RARITY'S A FEMINIST as one myself (not the type that see women as better that men but the type that want gender equallity) I was very happy that add another layer to her charactor, rarity can defend herself and does need other people to save her and i think this episode displayed that very well

22 minutes later.......
I died a little inside today........ This episode, in my honest opinion, sucked. Not enough wonderbolts, too much Rarity acting like Pinkie Pie. In all honesty, one of the worst of the series that nearly killed my admiration of Rarity and the wonderbolts.........nearly!
SoarinDash scenes: Check.
Elite squad Wonderbolts: Check.
Blaze gets a few lines: Check. (thank god Hasbro would never allow curse words in MLP)
A Wonderbolt antagonist: Check.
Spitfire's mom: Check.
I just finished watching that, and IT IS NOW MY NEWEST TOP FAVORITE EPISODE!!!
I still went like "Huh?" when I heard Misty Fly speak, but I'm actually glad she spoke, since I was hoping for more of the Wonderbolts to have their own lines. Now we just need Surprise, High Winds, the Streak twins, and Silver to speak, and my life will be good.
I know this might seem weird, but at first, I thought it was the mail pony who might've framed Rainbow. But once I saw Wind Rider after all those Rarity scenes, he was immediately added to my list of antagonists.
It was also nice to see Spitfire's mom. They almost look exactly the same, other than the age difference... and the fact that her mom is wearing something waaaay different from the Wonderbolt uniform.
Also, is it just me, or was there a mare that looked really similar to Soarin at 4:04?
I LOVED IT TOO!!!! Spitfire and Soarin are best ponies, and they both had so much speaking time.... I just... AHHHHHHH. I feel everyone's pain and excitement.
I'd imagine old Silver would horribly scold Wind Rider for framing Rainbow Dash.

No just kidding but I did love the SoarinDash screentime in this episode. I hope Soarin gets more in the future. Nothing like seeing your favorite mare and stallion together in the show (Even if the relationship isnt canon).

i get where you're coming from, but honestly, we have to remember it's a kid's show and things can be bent/flip flopped easily to have a simple moral: this guy played dirty, playing dirty is wrong, he was kicked out, and then everything was happy.

Well, as a big Fleetfoot fan who hasn't seen this episode (Destiny and work are keeping me a little too distracted), I gotta say this update and some of the comments about how many lines certain other characters got has really taken a sword to my enthusiasm for this episode. I'll probably go back and watch it at some point but right now my feelings about the treatment toward one my personal favorite characters at this point (a few minutes after reading the update) is just...

All in all, i liked it because the Wonderbolts weren't portrayed as straight up jerks this time. Sure, something happens that makes them angry and accuse, but given the situation their reaction is believable. It was just nice to see the Wonderbolts get lots of screen time, and while fleetfoot doesn't have any lines, she has a LOT of screen time, generally on screen the same time as Soarin.
You weren't the only one with Misty Fly. I missed out a few lines after she spoke because I was used to reading her as you wrote her.
