Life Update part 3 · 7:38pm Aug 10th, 2023
oh its THAT day now, isnt it?
Hey all, hope all is well with everyone. I apologize for the very abrupt halt in progress altogether. If you've been following these recent blogs you already know that my life recently underwent lots of changes, all very POSITIVE changes to be clear, but changes nonetheless and writing is currently something I'm not able to reliably/consistently set aside time for in the manner i have been doing for pretty much the last decade and despite my best attempts to figure out a new way to approach it, the times now available to me are typically set when I'm completely exhausted from work or otherwise.
So for the time being, while i do not intend to change the story's status to "On Hiatus" I can't realistically offer any timeframes or expectations for updates. I certainly dont want to force them out and have the quality suffer as a result, so for the time being progress (what little i have) can be described as "whenever im practically able". But perhaps this will help me in the end because id be lying if i said i wasn't teetering near the edge of burnout with how long ive been working on this. Hopefully i can figure something out going forward, but i wouldn't expect anything in the short term.
But it goes without saying ive always HATED keeping people waiting, i know youve been enjoying the story as much as ive been enjoying telling it. While this scarcely makes up for the wait I'll post a google link below to a snippet of the next chapter that i have done and sitting in my files consisting of some good old casual Wonderbolt shenanigans:

Thanks for the update! We miss you but totally understand that this is a labor of love, not a job. I'm actually in the middle of rereading it lol, and really appreciate all that you already have given us.
Hope you can find a good balance with the new setup, and look forward to any new pone words you can manage to try and get us to an ending someday.

There's no hurry on anything, it could come out later and I would still enjoy it, it could never continue and I'll still be happy with the great amount we already have, This break might be good as a rest to not burn out, I myself been taking a little break on pony, so the pause is welcome.
I've been following your series for years! Since I was a young teen now I'm an adult but lost my old account. Always put your personal stuff first and when ever you have the time come back if you wish too! (Secretly, I really hope you continue lol but I would be understanding if you don't) best of luck and please don't burn yourself out too much!
Happy Birthday, Calm. (Belated I know) I'm about 10 chapters behind and starting over reading to remember what's going on. No worries on my end. You need a break so take it. And like I'm totally excited about the fact you've got a relationship going again. I hope this one works out.

I dont like leaving stories unfinished and its not like i have writers block here so ill likely continue it later, i just really needed to step back for a little while. after keeping it up (inconsistently but keeping it up none the less) for a decade ive nearly entirely burned myself out. I need some time to sit back and not worry about it for a little while lest i drive myself insane
Glad youve enjoyed the story for so long, knowing how long many have stuck with me is always the biggest motivator

Yeah i definitely need a break, after how long this has been going on with basically no time off it was about time. Ill continue it in the future, but ill just burn out if i dont take some time. Hope all is well with you

Things are going great with me. I'm home after five years. LONG story there. So after 2.5 years of working as a CNA during the pandemic, my brain gave out from all the stress and now I have a mental health condition that makes it impossible to work. So I'm home. I changed phone numbers so I cannot get back into Telegram. I've got a new account but not sure how to re-friend people.
Otherwise, I'm really doing alright.
Great to hear about your life updates. It’s good that you’re taking time off for yourself, it’s very important.
