Yes, I know, I'm a horrible person.
If folks think of anything else that fits, let me know! (I also bought Tabletop Simulator to play this on PC, too!)
Edits will continue as I think up more!
A Midwest brony who enjoys writing about adorkable unicorns and alien invasions. Come join me for XCOM 2 livestreams!

The main problem is going to be getting the mod to work. :|
I feel the obligation to read these stories now. But they're really long
Oh, come on. Firecracker ships with everysentient.

Exactly! The 'Shipping Lubricant' ability name actually comes from a comment in the chapter where FC's nature is revealed. Someone commented that having a character that can gender/race change is like 'Shipping Lubricant'.
Ship Twilight with the myrmidon, or Fire Cracker.
Ship Card:
Alien Invasion!
I've Got Your Back: When played attached to an MM card, you may choose one:
Move an MM character from elsewhere on the shipping grid to the other side of this ship.
Return an MM character from the discard pile and attach it tot eh other side of this ship.
(Because sometimes, shipping occurs when two people just fight, back-to-back, a whole lot...)
YEEEEESSSSS
Post-readthrough edit: That Shining special is pure gold.
That Alvar is pretty OP'd. Just sayin'.
the flavor detail for Matt Harris is rather cute, and im totally routing for FC!
3312433 That's what I thought when I started reading them. Then a few days later I was all caught up and desperate for more.
3312433 Worth the read man, 100%. Read the entirety of Stardust twice, along with occasional re-reads of my favorite chapters. Read all the other stories as well, and it makes my day every time I see MM updated. Stardust was actually the reason that I got interested in XCOM in the first place. I had heard good things, bad things, and confusing things about it due to the convoluted nature of the series' title, but after reading the first fic, I went on a research project to learn more, and now, XCOM: Enemy Within, Long War mod is my favorite pass time. On my top 5 FIMfic's of all time list, without a doubt.
I shall refuse to ship the Matt Harris card with Twilight Sparkle cards, and will instead ship it exclusively with Chrysalis cards.
Mad props for In Denial and Shiny's special. That's the best kind of demented.
Well, those are definitely fun, but this line caught my eye:
I have wanted to play this game for a while but didn't have anyone to play it with in person so I am really wondering what the deal is with this electronic version.

And... this is the evil you have created.
Chrysalis, Mastermind

Haven't had a chance to try it yet I'm afraid.
3313178 That makes sense given how recently you got it. Just let us know how it works whenever you get a chance to try it.
Whoa, whoa, WHOA - hold the phone, people!! There's a SHIPFIC MOD for Tabletop Simulator!?

Eeexcellent. My work here is done.
Edit: On second thought, what about Fanfic Author Rarity? (May be on the board at the same time as Fanfic Author Twilight, and when played may swap any one of the pony cards shipped with Fanfic Author Twilight with another pony card from elsewhere on the board. Flavor text should be an excerpt from "Helping Hands" instead of Mente.)
And this immediately makes me try and imagine what the Time Loops Cadence would think about this, considering that she decided to create a device called the "Dating Simulator", which was "a repurposed Infinite Tsukuyomi (from Naruto) in concept".
3314089 There was a loop where they played Shipfic... and the ponies they shipped were trapped in the game.
