Valkyria Chronicle 4 Stream plans, and the new XCOM 2 DLC next week. · 5:41am Oct 6th, 2018

Who would have predicted that just ONE DAY after announcing the death of my XCOM 2 livestream, they would reveal that the new DLC is coming out -next week-? Not only that, but it's DLC that will allow me to eliminate some of my cosmetic mods and hopefully improve the performance of the game. (Plus, y'know, the DLC is probably going to break all the mods anyway. XD)

ANYWHO. To anyone who wants to join me for Valkyria Chronicles 4, I'm hoping to start streaming TOMORROW, 10/06/2018 at around 11:00-sh. I intend to have the stream up for folks to join and chat at least 30 minutes beforehand. I also intend to play for pretty much the entire day too, so feel free to stop by and visit at any time! I've taken some time to prepare so that anyone who joins me won't have to sit through mind-numbing grinding for resources or XP. We'll be going through it for the story's sake and to have some fun!

As for next week, I intend to try (but not complete) the XCOM 2 DLC that comes out prior to next weekend. It is my hope that next weekend I can resurrect the XCOM 2 WOTC playthrough with less or no mods for folks to enjoy. I'll talk about it during my VC4 stream. :D

If you don't know it yet, here's the link to my stream!

unfortunately, I will be unable to attend, prior engagements with family. :pinkiesad2: Best of luck though!

The mods for XCOM2 are a real love / hate relationship for me. I love how the fan-created weapons, enemies and game mechanics can vastly improve the campaign. Even the slightest addition of new voices and tattoo options adds lots of new layers to build your own story around the soldiers and their history.

This, unfortunately, is combined with the mods tending to be unstable game crashers, especially when Firaxis releases patches and updates. I've lost a few campaigns because the mods I used either broke the game at one point or refused to work properly after an update.

Still, really looking forward to the Legacy Expansion just for the ability to make my tier 2 and 3 armor and weapons look like they belong to ragtag resistance fighters, not Power Rangers with access to Covenant plasma weapons. Also, free content of this quality is always a great show of love for the fans, so bravo to Firaxis for that.

Now, how about making sure this dlc doesn't break all my favorite mods. I'd really like to keep my Rick and Morty voice pack and Doom Slayer armor set.

I will attend next week definitely, this week I will try it depends if I can make the earlier church service.
