The sequel needs a name. Any ideas?

Comrade_Pony and I have almost finished the first chapter of the sequel. However, we have yet to come up with a title for it. Any ideas?

Would help if there was a clue about content, rather than so much guessing, but that is a tricky call, depending upon the level of surprise you want to keep.

Also, think about mix-n-match in the word suggestions, as sometimes you'll see something and feel not quite right, then switch something in your head and it just goes DING! in your head as perfect.

It was the dance that hooked me, and im seeing some conflict in this next chapter, so maybe something like "you lead and i follow"

Without giving out any hint, You're subtlety ask us readers to give out our expectation, may some of these ideas hit you and soon help develop the story ...

GUYS ! you should stop complaining about not knowing what's going on next, just type down all random things you could think of in your head, because some of it will actually become chapters to be written.

So uhm... how about "The lost bloodlines" ? something about her and her filly life ? Is the little one sees his mother's sacrifice or is he despises her because other kids say so ? (more mother-son and Daniel-Slate bittersweet chapters)
The flashback of those lost days when she got exiled ? She may not lying to Daniel did she tell him the whole truth ?
Some side stories about her friend streetwalkers, how they met, took her in, help each others and maybe feed some random old poor pony who can't work or something (I want to see more of her kind, sympathy heart and personality, she's cool and all)
And Twilight happens, yeah, don't forget Daniel's relationship with her. how about a cat fight between Twilight and Starlight ?

how about she comes back homeland and meet with her [Siblings] and [Father], more bat ponies (good fillies and evil houses, sort of) then complex, infighting and betrayal happens, Daniel goes through all the challenges, use his talking skill to gather small hints about Thestral history and finally an unexpected truth revealed ... wait, that has gone too far.

My god that was a lot in my head and I need to know it all. This universe you created has so much potential to be like 30 or more chapter-long

Well a lot of name's are focusing on the man or her dancing. When in reality the sequel is mostly going to be based on her story and her son slate. This story started as the mare of the night so it's sequel should be something close to what her past is about. From what we know she is a well educated, well versed, diamond in the rough, who was the heir to a grand estate who chose to not go with the path lain out to her. The sequel I hope will be Daniel trying to figure out her choices and their conversations will be very tense.

Good plot devices:
Mr. Kickback - the stallion always ignored by the Daniel who may discover Daniels 'night' activities and use it to his benefit.

Dancers mysterious husband (Mr kickback? Seems arrogant enough)

A past relative from dancers past

Slate - unknown colt, always known hardship but is never aware of her mother's 'richness'

Twilight - a scornful princess? One who has never known jealousy to maybe resent Daniel in his dealing with a hooker?

My recommendations for the title for the sequel is

'The Countess Nightflyer' (references her father's dissatisfaction)
' The Mare of The Daniel' (referencing her new relationship with Daniel and the problems it could hold)
'A Touch of Starlight' (referencing how she has maybe touched many but has never been touched in appreciation especially by Daniel who wants nothing but a conversation partner)
