I went with Twilight's shy, dorky demeanor, too. Life without a mentor (Though I called her school Star Swirl's Academy for Gifted Students or SSAGS or SS) to guide her steps and teach her the importance of friendship. Though... Mine's notably set after Rainbow Rocks and includes the sirens.

Hmmm given the content of the trailer and the story so far it's either gotta be twilight's past with the other school coming up or earth magic finally getting out. Always did think having massively powerful artifacts like the elements brought over might awaken some other hidden artifacts.
I like Sunset's red outfit with the cute shoes better than I like her new green dress and shitkickers.

The trailer disappointed me deeply on one aspect, though. I was hoping Sombra or Cadance would be the principle of Crystal Prep. But when Twilight's magic go nuts and explodes, you can see the presumed principle standing off to the side, and it's a new character. Lame.

Edit: As a side thing, I wonder what is going on with the magic there. Especially since it seems to be doing a bit of what I predicted in one of my stories where the introduction of powerful magic from Equestria starts infecting that world with it.

Given how much of klutz Twilight is in that trailer I am absolutely certain that the Shadowbolt captain knows about Twilight's magical potential and has set her up to compete for that purpose (and possibly forced her to betray the High Five's trust) because she certainly didn't make the team on the basis of her athletic prowess.
