As many of you may have seen, Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs was forcibly given a Mature rating, due to excessive adult humor. I know exactly where I crossed the line too.
I want to first apologize to the administrators of FIMfiction.net. They work really hard to keep this site running smooth. They also gave my story a place of prominence by having it as one of the featured stories for the site. I wasn't seeking for it to be featured, nor did I know how to handle the sudden increase in readers that came as a result. I'm embarrassed to say that I betrayed the trust of the admins by straying beyond the borders of good taste. (Well, relatively good taste. The story does take place in a sperm bank, after all.)
Next, I want to apologize to my readers. Many of the people following me found me through L&BBOJ. I don't want anyone to think this was an intentional "bait and switch." I want this story to remain crude; but a teen-level crude. I've resolved to make whatever changes are necessary to earn back the Teen rating and hopefully regain the trust of the admins and my readers.
Thank you all for your patience in dealing with a clopfic writer who is used to throwing buckets of mature content onto the canvas and is now learning how to paint inside the lines for the first time.
Update: After some soul searching, I realized that in order to get a Teen rating for this story, I would have to sacrifice too much; so instead of making concessions, Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs will proudly wear a Mature banner. All chapters except for the seventh one can be considered Teen rated. Thanks again to everyone for giving me a chance and sticking with me! I promise that I will have updates to more of my stories in the near future.

Yep. Chapter 5 has been edited to reflect the necessary changes. No more sticky shower. As the saying goes "every man, his own censor." I don't begrudge this story needing editing for content. L&BBOJ was an experiment, more or less, to see how well I colored inside the lines. The admins are adamant that I erase some of the more explicit humor before they give me back my crayons, and I have no problems granting their request.

It's not like I described the characters as being in constant heat, or horny. It's just difficult to know where the content line for Teen-rated stories is located when the comment sections for such stories contain lots of mature themes and suggestions themselves.
Dude i saw Knighty's post and thought to myself ''man, I hope he's not talking about Bronystories or Friendly Uncle'' then I went notifications and saw this post.
I can see the dumping of spoiled donations to be a little strong for teen but I don't think that it had crossed the line into mature.
Man, f*ck da po-lice. Seriously though, great story, keep it up. I know that feel, I've butted heads with administrators a few times myself. Even though they are just trying to keep things smooth, it can be a bit of a pain. Just do your thing, man. We'll be watching.
I had a feeling it was teetering on the border.

However, if the main setting of a sperm bank causes the story to be deemed 'adult content' in and of itself, then there's no way this story will ever be eligible for a Teen rating. 
I'm going to try and get this down to a Teen rating. I really want this to work and am willing to make the necessary changes.
And if that day should happen, my friends... things might get a little more messy in the rewrites for the later chapters.
I'm just kidding. I don't want this to turn into another hardcore clop. I appreciate the story too much to allow it to become exploitive at the end.

Just keep the humour how this is. It's funnier that way.
I'm with Someguy987 on this. It's up to you what you want to do with your story, but it seems wrong to alter your writing to fit into a rating. It's difficult to find the line between 'crude' and 'too crude' because it's different for everybody. It sounds to me like you're finding that the admins have a different line than you.

Throwing it in his face? Well, now I wouldn't say that. Let me explain it like this:
For those of you who watched the original Batman: the Animated Series from the early '90s, you may remember several episodes where one of Batman's rouges gallery tried to reform. The Penguin, the Riddler and Harley Quinn each had their own episodes devoted to this theme. They all tried to adjust and conform to the laws of society they had previously disregarded. It was an honest attempt on their part to reform themselves, but various circumstances prevented this change from being permanent.

With this ratings issue, I found myself in similar circumstances. In the past, I dealt mainly in graphic mature content. I toned down my writing because I wanted to try and make something that was Teen rated. Lyra and Bon Bon's Odd Jobs wasn't just about trying to reach a wider audience. The story I wanted to tell didn't call for any graphic descriptions of sex, so I thought a Teen rating was appropriate.
In seeing how far I could straddle the ratings line with adult humor, I went too far. Like Harley Quinn, the rules of society were too restrictive for me to act in the manner to which I had become accustomed. So while this story is now rated 'M' for mature, it's still much tamer than many of my other works.
I hold no ill will towards anyone on FIMfiction.net. If anything, I'm grateful for everyone here. I admire the administrators for all the hard work they do to keep this site running and making sure stories are kept in their proper places. I'm thankful for everyone who reads and are entertained by my stories.
I found my niche in writing story-driven fanfics that are crass and crude around the edges. I may try my hand at making something totally innocuous in the future; but for now, I'm eager to get back to basics.

In light of the announcement that adult humor requires a Mature rating, I found it humorous that this PMV was featured on Equestria Daily relatively recently.

In all honesty the joke is a little past the general line that sociaty has painted, But as for my personal line my rule is (no sex=not mature
). That part just mainly made me lurch and laugh at the same time (a weird sensation
).
I hope you didn't get into much trouble with the admins. Your a great author and I do not want to see your creativity be held back by others.
By the way your story is the first Fic i have read where Lyra and Bon Bon are the main charaters, and I must say I LOVE it.
