Be still, sad heart! and cease repining; Behind the clouds is the sun still shining.

You probably know how this sort of thing goes. There you are, mowing your grass on a day that can't decide whether to shine or drizzle on you, a few years and counting into your non-writing streak. Whatever thoughts you're having are at the expense of your lawnmower picking a fight with every passing tuffet and losing.

    Tyomnaya strana

Just as alicorns descend upon parched wastelands bearing storms and seeds, so too do kindly translators upon my horsewords. Dark Country's received a Russian translation by the kind efforts of

    Stellarum voces

A jolly update for folk who like either fanfic readings or The Motion of the Stars, and a downright rapturous one for folk who like both. My name is R has brought their vocal talent to bear on the story, complete with images and background music to help

    On Brains

A nice breezy dialogue to ease in with:

CARABAS’ COMMON SENSE: So, a hypothetical conservation for you.
CARABAS: Two lines in and we’ve already got fictional discourse nested in the initial fictional discourse. Gosh, I must just love to live dangerously.

I promised CSquared dreadnought krakens, and by god, you're getting dreadnought krakens. · 6:18pm Mar 29th, 2015

The Tempest, now in all semi-respectable horseword-hosting sites near you! Or at least, its first chapter.

It's one of these stories that's turned out to have grown in the writing, to a point where I couldn't reasonably contain its estimated length in a single chapter. Hence, it's been broken up, and subsequent parts will be released in a serial manner as and when they're completed and tweaked to my satisfaction.

Hope it satisfies.

So far so good.

I've always believed that stories should be told in the length required for them and not curtailed for some arbitrary and artificial reason. And, really, the more we get to see of that universe (to say nothing of the addition of Discord) the better.

First chapter looking good so far!

I've finally made it big! :rainbowkiss:

They were all going to die. Possibly while screaming and on fire.

My favorite so far. Let's see Hasbro top this. Perhaps The Crown might gain a propeller on top, or.... I should stop there.

Yo, Carabas. Next time you write a sequel to a story, you might want tag the prequel in your 'New Story!' blog post. Because that way, every user that has the prequel story in one of their bookshelves WILL BE NOTIFIED THAT YOU WROTE A SEQUEL!

And also provide a link to aforementioned sequel in aforementioned blog post.

Just a thought.

Glad you think so.

There's some greater degree of freedom for this one than there was for Moonlight Palaver. No competition prompt to be adhered to and no word limit either. The only risk is going mad with power and spinning it into some sort of million-word-epic. Probably not going to happen.

Still many heights to be striven for, yo. The next step up is alicorn princess, unless I'm mistaken.

It was a real pain excising the Capricious Propeller Beanie of Capra from the first draft of Moonlight Palaver, let me tell you.

...Derp. In my defence, I'm a flailing incompetent.
