The Bridge Update: Teaser and Valentine's Special pictures · 5:56am Mar 1st, 2015
Alrighty everyone, Faithy has outdone herself yet again and the pictures for the Valentine's Day special have been released. Head on over to her DA page or the chapter to give them a look.
Also exams are almost over and I've been able to get cracking on chapter 20. Right now I'd put it at about 3/5ths done. Expect a release in the coming weeks. And to thank you all for being such a great lot, I'm including a small teaser here. Hope you enjoy!
Carousel Boutique was a place custom built by its owner to be a palace of peacefulness and comfort. A mix of being surrounded by organized chaos and the ingredients of her talent were key for making a young entrepreneur who just moved out of her house feel right at home several years ago, even without a family around her. Tonight however, the sleeping unicorn was restless; and not by her own doing.
Rarity's face winced and scrunched, as she tossed and turned in her bed despite the veil of unconsciousness. Her reaction was to be expected. She was seeing her world being murdered.
Manehattan, population of three hundred thousand. Right now though, she would be as surprised as she was horrified if it had a tenth of that, judging from all the screaming. The sky was darkened, half choked with smoke. The only lights about where sparking street lamps and the bonfires that had once been homes or businesses. Windows shattered, streets torn apart; homes crushed down into coffins. Carneighie Hall was flattened into a smoking crater, mangled so badly it was only recognizable by the remaining half of its otherwise crushed entrance. Farrier Hill was on fire, a dark green form looming over the apartment complexes before digging its massive arms into the buildings. Rarity didn't want to think about what it was bringing up to its mouth after digging, but she knew it wasn't any construction materials. The dusty, dank air stung her nose and chest with every breath as she ran through debris filled streets. She had just past the ground level throne to the monolithic Imperial State Building when a large shadow with a glowing blue light flew over the structure like a massive bird. With a flick of its long tail, it tore the top half of the structure off its base, sending a tidal wave of falling glass, concrete; and metal crashing down towards her.
Oh shoot, I remember you telling me a while ago about a fight in Manehatten. Looks like the time is coming up. So, Gaira and... Otachi? Hoo boy. I doubt those two are anywhere near as nice as The Hunters- that is, Monster X and co.
Huh? Dark Green form, ability to fly, blue light, and a tail. The only close thing that matches the description and my thoughts would either have to be Hedorah or maybe, I don't know, possibly one of the Pacific Rim kaiju, Leather Back?

One's a gluttonous, probably half deranged ogre who was completely comfortable mauling his own brother (who saved his life), and the other is basically a multi-thousand ton bioweapon meant to be a giant attack dog who's pre-programmed to ravage for her creators. Let that speak for itself

With a pair like that on the way and our six Kaiju scattered across Equestria, methinks Manehattan won't be nearly as lucky as Canterlot. Plus, it's a metropolitan city with actual skyscrapers. When such a city appears in a giant monster story, it can't not get roughed up. It's like an unwritten rule.

Celestia had one of these prophetic dreams before the Gyaos attack on Canterlot, so make of that what you will.

True, but Celestia is arguably a much different case. I'm not aware of any previous ability of Rarity (a normal unicorn) to have prophetic dreams, ala the Azumi princess of Okinawa.

Would like to point out that Tia having prophetic dreams is canon material I was using (most notably when she for saw Tirek incoming), but keep in mind the future can always change and that her dreams weren't as vivid as this. Something else may be at work~

What or whoever is behind the dreams of a burning future, It's nice to finally see some action for one who is a sadist and a glutton, and one who is arguably the most effective member of it's "team".
