scoots2

I'm a writer of fluff, kibitzer, and especially interested in canon AU: Equestria Girls, the comics, etc. They are fun to play with.

    Follow-up on that stalker thing

He seems to have gone quiet for now. I'm assuming the admins managed to smack down all of those alts. I haven't seen any new material on Tumblr or DeviantArt, either.

Speaking of DeviantArt, here's the reply I got from them:

    Thanks for getting in touch!

A member of the DeviantArt staff has reviewed this situation, and we have taken appropriate steps to resolve the problem.

    Just so you know...

There's a person on here who has been creating alts and harassing me. I keep getting posts like "why have you stopped talking to me? Tell me what I did. I need closure." I'm also getting PMs along the order of "yo, why are you ignoring X? I thought you were friends."

    I lurk

I know some people have asked why I won’t say anything, etc., but the truth is that I lurk. I sign in to see something, usually to re-read Rage Reviews. There are some things I can’t see unless I’m a bonafide member over a certain age. And then I just don’t ever log out, but I’m not “here” and ignoring anyone on purpose.

Some people make themselves very, very unhappy

Haven't been around much, but then, you knew that. Busyness, health issues, and frankly a whole lot of depression. Even ponies weren't interesting me very much anymore. I had a ticket to go to EQLA and a party that same weekend, and I did not go to either.

    Hey guys guys guys

So, hi, you haven't probably seen much from me, and that is primarily because I have been sucked in again by my primary fandom, Harry Potter. Which isn't surprising, considering that I help run a convention and teach a course on it and am the school's club's faculty advisor and have given talks on it for, oh, over a decade.

So for me, for the last few months, it has been mostly about:

I can't move fast enough · 11:40pm Sep 12th, 2014

This makes two trailers and the soundtrack for Rainbow Rocks inside of one week, and while I'm excited to see them, it's making writing Looking Glass World extremely frustrating. It's like trying to run up a down escalator, and I know it's slowing me down. This was going to be an easy "filler" chapter, and it's not turning out that way at all, and the next one is going to be the tough one. I've been on the edge of shrieking "I WILL NEVER MAKE IT," because with every new bit of info, this fic becomes a little more AU, and it's driving me up the wall. I suppose I could say, "oh, that doesn't matter," but the truth is that it does matter to me to stay as close as possible.

I have done just a tiny touch of tweaking, but I can't correct for the big stuff, of course. That's why if there's a sequel, it's going to have a time skip of a few years. Side benefit: the girls would be college age by then and beginning to deal with whatever their grownup lives are going to be.

I could REALLY use some rah-rah, folks, because the time bomb to school starting is also ticking down, and I should be prepping syllabi right now. And you can't skive off when you're the teacher.

Hey. Just pretend I'm Rainbow Dash and that I have a giant ego or whatever. I'm not fussy.

You can do it!!! :yay::yay: :pinkiehappy:

You can do it, scoots2! Cut writers block's freaking head off!

yay!

When those deadlines getcha down, throttle 'em to Painville Downtown! :yay: :yay: (There needs to be some Iron Will icons here Fimfiction...)

If it matters to you, I think that Equestria Girls: The Looking Glass World of Cheese and Pie is really excellent fiction, not just by fan fiction standards but by the standards of fiction in general. I really hope you finish the story even if Rainbow Rocks reveals that they're all cyber-assassins from the year 3000 -- your version would be better.

YOU GOT THIS HON! Whoooooooooooooo! You got it !

I don't care what the movie says, you still write the best EQG to me. :pinkiehappy:

Totally new here and haven't read LG yet, but...

You've got the "written before Rainbow Rocks" shield if nothing else. Worst case scenario, just slap that on and move on with things.

In the meantime, follow your muse, hon, and get those ideas down! You're in this fandom for the enjoyment, correct? To heck with corporate-mandated canon additions and scheduling! We'll work with 'em when they get here.

...dat domain name. :rainbowderp:

Come, army of Fluttershys. We must cheer Scoots on!

:yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay::yay:

To quote Bruce Willis, "C'mon man. Go, go, GO!"

Go! Write! Rah! Be encouraged! Writer's block is just fear of the unknown, so gather up your courage and take the plunge. We believe you can do it!

Also, maybe don't watch the trailers and things until you're done...? Nah, sorry. That was silly. :P

Whoooo! Go! Go! Go! Everyone here loves your story and wants you to work as fast as you can (while still producing the best quality you can)! If it helps, I probably won't be watching rainbow rocks straight away. In fact, I may even say "screw rainbow rocks! I'll watch it after looking glass is done!" (Cause everyone hates eqg so I don't think many people care about rainbow rocks anyway)

You're good enough, you're smart enough, and darn it, people like you. You can do this. You're an excellent writer, especially when the stars of this story are involved. (And even if you don't, it's not the end of the world. A slight deviation from the norm is inevitable in fan fiction, and is nothing to be ashamed of.)

If you cannot make the deadline, we do not mind. We would rather have a good good story than a rushed story. As for not fitting into canon, just look at FallOut: Equestria:

Twilight Sparkle is an Unicorn in the story. Magical Mystery Cure destroyed FallOut Equestria.

¡Ra! ¡Ra! ¡You can do it!
