I'm a writer of fluff, kibitzer, and especially interested in canon AU: Equestria Girls, the comics, etc. They are fun to play with.

    Follow-up on that stalker thing

He seems to have gone quiet for now. I'm assuming the admins managed to smack down all of those alts. I haven't seen any new material on Tumblr or DeviantArt, either.

Speaking of DeviantArt, here's the reply I got from them:

    Thanks for getting in touch!

    Just so you know...

There's a person on here who has been creating alts and harassing me. I keep getting posts like "why have you stopped talking to me? Tell me what I did. I need closure." I'm also getting PMs along the order of "yo, why are you ignoring X? I thought you were friends."

    I lurk

I know some people have asked why I won’t say anything, etc., but the truth is that I lurk. I sign in to see something, usually to re-read Rage Reviews. There are some things I can’t see unless I’m a bonafide member over a certain age. And then I just don’t ever log out, but I’m not “here” and ignoring anyone on purpose.

Some people make themselves very, very unhappy

Haven't been around much, but then, you knew that. Busyness, health issues, and frankly a whole lot of depression. Even ponies weren't interesting me very much anymore. I had a ticket to go to EQLA and a party that same weekend, and I did not go to either.

    Hey guys guys guys

So, hi, you haven't probably seen much from me, and that is primarily because I have been sucked in again by my primary fandom, Harry Potter. Which isn't surprising, considering that I help run a convention and teach a course on it and am the school's club's faculty advisor and have given talks on it for, oh, over a decade.

So for me, for the last few months, it has been mostly about:

In the future we could use a little more information so that we can properly review this.
We will need you to explain how you were able to determine that the same person operates the accounts which you identified for us, also please send us direct links to the content in question because we are unable to verify information via screenshots.
That information will be helpful in focusing our investigation and verification process.

Please let us know if you need any further assistance—thank you for your cooperation.

Direct links. That's GREAT. That means that nonsense would have to sit out there more or less eternally while they took their sweet time reviewing it. As for the same person operating the accounts: oh, I dunno, the fact that there are two supposed speakers, tag teaming, using the exact same words, and that the FimFiction name, Drifting Heart, is referred to in every single one might be a clue. I am so annoyed that this person will probably continue to play return acts, not just with me, but a lot of other FimFiction authors, as Bookish Delight pointed out.

It is hard to stay chirpy sometimes, and I have not even been trying. Every time you turn around, there's another mass shooting, or more would-be mass shooters are flushed out, or--okay, I don't even want to START with the politics, because I would be up all night--, or the Amazon goes on fire, or there is a mass die off of two hundred reindeer, and you can't help thinking that Santa won't be able to deliver anything now. I live in a VERY sunny part of the US, and even with thick layers of sunblock and protective clothing, including a full head and face mask, I can still get a burn from driving around and doing errands. I called up my doctor and I made another shot at convincing them that no, I do not need to see another dermatologist, because I like the one I have, and that actually, I need to see an allergist, and that my allergist is awesome and I want to keep him, but I need someone who deals with sun allergies.

On top of that, Harry Potter has seemed like a bummer sometimes. So many people in the fandom seem to be so angry so much of the time. The con I was working for has closed up, and that's really dispiriting, but I'm glad there won't be any drama that I have to be part of any more. I have about ninety million papers to go through and begin to make kind of sense out of so THE BOOK can finally get written.

Today was the first day of classes. I was dreading it, since my skin still burns and I was not feeling it, but...I was doing something useful, right? And I cleared out my office a bit and put up some Ministry of Magic nameplates made for the con--the maker has become a new friend, hurrah!--and they are fun, so now on my office door, there are some very convincing name plates:

HERMIONE GRANGER

Minister of Magic

HARRY J. POTTER

Head Auror

RONALD WEASLEY

Yeah, I'm Still Here

Then I met my Harry Potter class for the first time, and THEY were thrilled to be there, so that's good. I even got some pizzazz out of my Shakespeare class. So it will be good to have to get out and do something, even though I will have to be extra careful about the burns.

I have also fallen in love with the Good Omens TV series. I already loved the book, so I'm not new. I just liked the TV series, too. If you haven't seen it, it was made with so much loving detail in every way. A lot of people are shipping the main characters very hard. Essentially Neil Gaiman took something that was potentially subtext and made it text. So there is a lot of pressure for "moar Good Omens!", which I hope very much no one will give in to. The book was co-written by Neil Gaiman's friend, Terry Pratchett, and it's unthinkable that there would be more without Pterry. Fortunately, I doubt they will do this, as they set fire to a lot of important stuff, like one of the complicated principal sets and an antique car.

Oh my god, I read Bookish's post just now, it's TwiPieCheese?! We dealt with him in the AppleDash group back in the day. I think I remain the only person to argue him into shutting up.

Yeah, evidently it's TwiPieCheese sailing under new colors. What puzzles me is that usually he launches himself against people he considers to be insufficiently impressed by Pinkie Pie, but that can't be the case with me. I've written God alone knows how much PP material.

Yeah, the real world is pretty terrible these days. I find you need to cherish the positive moments, because they certainly won't cherish themselves. Here's hoping things take an upturn for you.

Glad things have quieted down!

That reply from Deviantart sounds like they have people that don't know what they are doing over there, though really, one look at their website says that these days. There's some stuff you just don't leave up, and screenshots are any good admin's tool for these type of things.

You'd hate it where I am right now. It's somewhere around 105 all week. I stay inside for weeks at a time, not even really surfacing much for groceries. Things like grocery delivery are invaluable.

The Good Omens tv series was great, and I already loved the book, too. I'm fine with them taking things I love and adding David Tennant. Devid Tennant's pretty great, too. And the shipping is real. I was thinking of it as a really good friendship, but the series sold me on it as a ship...

Another series I've been enjoying is the Ducktales reboot. even if I'm only half a dozen episodes in. Most of the episodes have just been really good and lots of fun. They are doing a good job building up the cast, distinguishing between Huey, Dewey, and Louie, and making Webby into a character I increasingly love...

That is true, but he's either a master troll or obviously unstable. He was better around the time I was dealing with him -- he would rage back then but the death threats started on tumblr not long afterwards -- but even then what was "acceptable" treatment of Pinkie changed from week to week. If I recall he started out as PinkieDashTwi or something, then changed it because he decided PinkieDash was an awful ship and Dash was abusive to Pinkie and he started harassing anyone who suggested they liked Rainbow Dash at all. Maybe he had a similar "conversion" with Cheese Sandwich, or maybe he's just running out of people willing to pay attention to him.
