When I first joined the pre-readers, I used my pen name. kits (it's all lowercase; like a boss) is a shortened form of Kitsuneymg, my da profile, and has been used by me since 900 bauds was fast. Maybe it was my word choice, maybe my enthusiasm for touching shipping, or maybe I typo like a girl, I dunno. Whatever the reason, the entire pre-reader mailing list thought I was a woman. Which is really weird given the fact I dubbed "horn warmer" in my "welcome" email thread and dove straight into the saucier side of things.
When we moved all of our inane bullshit from email threads to IRC, I found out about this. Everyone was all "kits is a guy? WTF!?" I thought it was hilarious, so I kept it up and played along. The issue became compounded when I started drawing. I dislike drawing stallion muzzels, so I didn't. Kittyhawk (the avatar I use now) is a mare. She was born from a late night Yaridovich drawfriend idea from Blixi, IIRC: draw a rocket pone.
Being the huge troll I am, I came from /b/ after all, I keep up the Kittyhawk illusion most of the time. Going so far as to use "she" when talking about my pone-self.
