I've had a couple questions about this, and I realize that the weapon I gave Rainbow in the story is a little difficult to visualize, so I created a mock-up of it.
Now, the perspective and scale here are bad. I'll freely admit that. I am NOT an artist. But hopefully, this plus the written description of the weapon will give you an idea:
The haft shouldn't be that thick. Again, I'm no artist. The spikes are straight, maybe/maybe-not bladed (think Shredder's armor), and in the six colors of Rainbow's mane.
A friend of mine may be creating a more...not-sucky version of this at a later date. For now, there's this. 
Oh. I thought it was some sort of radially arranged sextuple skewer, coming together in a conic arrangement reminiscent of a jousting lance. Guess not.

2237738 That'd be because I have shitty artistic skills and made it very simple. If I get a better drawing of it made by a friend, it'll look like the proper lethal weapon it's meant to be...possibly.
