Here we are a few days after the release of Twilight’s Monster and I’d like to take a moment and say hello to all my new followers.
Howdy!
My name is Fuzzyfurvert, but you can call me Fuzzy. I am an older fan of MLP. I was too old and of the wrong gender for the show back when it came out in the 80’s. My OTP is Twiluna, but a quick look over my stories list will show you I like more than a little Twilestia on the side. Soon I’ll have a Twidance fic on my mantle too.
That out of the way, I’d like to address a subject that has been brought up numerous times in the Twilight’s Monster comment section: a continuation/sequel to the story. Some of you will be sad to hear that I have no plans to write a direct sequel. I think that doing so would weaken the impact of the original and runs the risk of becoming something that is at best, a shadow of that original work. However, I am planning on doing a set of short stories, set within the ‘Monsterverse,’ and focusing on each of the Elements/Exemplars. There is still more of that story to tell and the world I’ve presented, that so many of you seemed to have enjoyed, still has secrets to be revealed.
I do not have a set release time for these side stories as of yet, but I will let everyone know when they come out. Otherwise, if any of you would like to write something in connection to Twilight’s Monster, feel free. I’d love to read other author’s interpretation of this unharmonious Equestria ruled by a corrupt and paranoid Solar Council.

I reckon that is the perfect solution to the squeal dilemma because I have to agree continuing the story would lessen the impact but I just wanted to read more, it was excellent.

Oh well, I suppose some is better than none. I still feel you're wasting a lot of potential, but I'll just have to accept this and move on. We'd better find out what happens to Twilight and Luna though!

i think the set of short stories would work better set in the Monsterverse because what made that story amazing (part from your good writing) is the universe you set it in and i like to know more of that universe so i love to read some short stories set in that universe X3

As the plan stands at the moment, no. But the side stories will push the narrative along past the point where Twilight's Monster "ended". The intent is to fill in some blanks with the world and show how the Exemplars and Princesses could bring harmony back.
I am, however, exultant that the world will be further explored in other side-stories, though I might wish for further exploration of the TwiLuna relationship as it develops.
It's one of my favorite ships, after all.
Also, be careful about making Europa a drinking game. I like your stories too much to want to see you dead by alcohol poisoning.
Hopefully Alicorn Switcheroo isn't getting your full attention … not when My Harshwhinnial is starting to accumulate more upvotes than downvotes again.
It only ever seems to get fresh downvotes when it updates and reaches the front page. If it doesn't update by autumn I may not be able to close the gap.

Ah yes, thank you for reminding me. I'll see to it that Luther gets a copy of the next chapter fairly soon. I still need to make sure it contains the correct ratio of Harshwhinny to Alicorn OC.

It's an amazing story and has so much potential that when I started reading it I could already tell that it wasn't going to be completed
