It's in progress. (sigh)
I'm … just going to have to blow this deadline. I'm sorry. It'll be ready when it's ready. I'm continuing to work on it tonight and Friday, and should have it to prereaders by the weekend. I hope.
The good news is that my muse grabbed my foreclaw and dragged me around for a while this weekend, and I did get an unrelated brand-new short story written (start to finish). I need to run it through a few rounds of prereading before publication, but it was a good break and a good block-breaker. Expect that one mid- to late June.
Also, there is nothing about Ponyvania: Order of Equestria which is not awesome. However, now that I'm done with it, I can stop distracting myself with games and get back to writing.

In the castle where you talk to the princesses, in the big vertical hallway with Luna at the bottom, there's a door halfway up the right side. Go through the door and "talk" to the statue.
The doors in the game are not always easy to pick out from the background.

I suppose if I'd been any good at the game I'd have found one eventually, but as is, I die so fast every time...

Yeah. It's a great game, but like its source material, it is Nintendo Hard (obligatory TVTropes warning). You have to do a great deal of not getting killed to make much progress. The good news is that as you kill things and level up, it permanently increases your stats and HP, and that progress accumulates across deaths.
My first playthrough, I stubbornly refused to let the magical alicorn goddess downgrade me into easy mode and finally finished it with about 40 deaths. My second playthrough, I started out in Easy and finished with four deaths (most of which were self-inflicted in an effort to get the good ending in Stage 3 after I picked up something I shouldn't have). I'm a long, long way from a good ranking, but at least I got through it.
(For reference, I'm through five out of six bosses in I Wanna Be The Guy in easy mode, and about 1,000 deaths. I figure there's no shame in that; just finishing's an accomplishment. It's like being the slowest guy to the top of Mount Whitney.)
