For those who have been following The Sentient Cloud's story, Those Who Came Before, I do have some good news.
As you may be aware, Sentient Cloud has decided to retire from writing pony fics so he may focus on a writing project he is working on. (SC, PLEASE let all of us know when you do get that book published, for I am certain all of us would love to read it.) Where as he will no longer write about all our favorite pastel, magical talking horsies, the mantle for carrying on his incomplete work that you all have favorited has been passed on to me.
As you may, if you have looked, I have taken the story out of hiatus, and it has become a top priority project for me.
Please prepare yourselves for more chapters to come for this story. It is my goal to make the remainder of the fic as good as the first two chapters, as well as his other incredible stories.
Thank you everyone who has stood buy him waiting patiently. The honor has been passed to me to write words worthy of your viewing, and I shall not let you guys down.
So are you going to post the new chapters in the same story, or will you be re-posting the whole thing elsewhere?
1930645 SC and I both talked with a site Mod, and the story has been transferred to my name. The new chapters will be published within the original fic. The only thing that has changed is the ownership of the story.
I do suggest that you put in the long description that you have taken over the story. People might get a little confused when they see your name next to the story.

Awesome! This was definitely a story I was sad when it seemed abandoned. There's so few stories with quite this subject matter, I'm glad it's continuing. Thank you!

Did SC have a "story bible" already in place for you to work off, or will this be 100% your take from this point on?

Is this a humans-come-out-of-a-vault story? I was hoping for a humans-were-here-a-long-time-ago-and-the-ponies-are-learning-about-them-now story. There's so many Human(s) in Equestria stories, so few Humans Used To Be in Equestria stories. Oh well, I'll live if living humans pop out of the metalworks. I'm sure there was a joke somewhere in that sentence. Honestly, I was more interested in how the story was going to try to stay scientifically believable (within reason for a world of magic), I remember the author looking for people with extensive scientific knowledge to help keep things on the up-keep. Are you going to be trying to maintain that same feel of plausible pseudo-science?
1934905 I was one of the ones he had talked to about various science topics at one point... so I think it can be said I will keep it scientifically realistic. I shall even come up with a scientific explanation for magic, and how it does what it does.
