Quantum State · 3:03am Nov 5th, 2013
I've gotten numerous requests for updates as to the state of the story, enough so that I decided it was time to give you my reasoning for the silence. Folks, I'm unemployed, living hand to mouth and looking for a job. What little free time I have, I split between friends, hobbies, and some small amount of writing when I have time.
I do not have any plans to leave the story unfinished, I AM writing the next chapter, but I don't have enough at the moment to report any progress, nor do have any set release date planned, so my silence was more a matter of, I'll let you know when I have something to report, not I'm done with this story.
So.... I'm not dead, and I haven't abandoned the story?
That probably isn't the update you're looking for, but... well, unless you've got a significant source of income for me, updates are gonna be kinda slow, folks. I got's bills to pay.
Well... that's a valid reason if i ever heard one.
Take care of yourself. we can wait.
Well then, coming from a random voice from the internet, good luck. Food/Money more important.
If you were local I could get you a job
Well, you're alive, don't have a terminal illness, and aren't locked in a mental institution. That's good enough for me. I wish you luck on finding a job.
This also gives me an opportunity to tell you something I've been meaning to. The site rules were recently updated to forbid copyrighted lyrics in stories. I know it's a tradition for you, and I don't have a problem with them, but I suggest you consider editing them out, just in case.
Real life is a bitch, glad to hear you're not dead and neither is the story
Take what ya can get
Join the army! It;s a great source of benefits and sometimes income!
Now, I'm also assuming you're Canadian... So...
Ummm... Yah. I've got nothing helpful otherwise, sorry. Good luck though.
Ah, well sorry about the situation, that really sucks. I do hope it improves soon, and best of luck in it getting things back on track. And I'm very glad to hear the story is still moving along, even if life tends to get in the way of such things (it does tend to come first, annoyingly enough). So, best thoughts and wishes on your situation turning around.
Wish I did have a source of income to provide, if you were NYC local, I could use help packing pony ties, but I don't believe that to be the case.
I can sympathize, I guess. I lost my job (heck, nearly everyone there lost their jobs) about four years ago, and I've been living on whatever comes my way since. Best of luck to you.
Well, I find myself in a bit of the opposite problem: too much work to do (and money to be made), but with the same outcome: no time to write. Can't say I envy your position, though. I think this might be a case of the grass on this side of the fence being just fine.
I could grab you some fertilizer in the hopes of seeing your grass grow, though! This is the point where I abandon that metaphor.
If you want to PM me a Paypal account I could toss you fifty bucks (Canadian, so ~$45 USD) to ease the burden. I know what it's like to in a rough spot, and if there's anything MLP has taught me it's the value of generosity. Considering you've been generous enough to share your work online with us, I might as well return the favour.
I hope your fortune changes as the result of hard work and dedication, and that you get what's coming to you!
Well, shoot. Hope you find a job soon, man. The story can wait.
Nothing I can throw your way except good wishes. You have them all.
Sorry to hear that.
Anything I can do to help?
