THEIR BLOOD AND FLESH ARE AS DELICIOUS AS OURS NO MATTER HOW THEY MIGHT SPIN THEMSELVES OTHERWISE! I have had a long and unfortunate turn of tragic events occur to me and my family recently in short order. I don't see any reason to explain these in detail, as it has been my understanding that misfortune and the frequent expression of such leads to alienation - nobody likes a downer. I don't think I'm a downer, honestly. I love to sing, to play, to be myself and love as openly and frequently as I can. Therefore, let us dispense with the pointlessness of tragedy and embrace the joy of simply being! Yes, that's where I am these days. It's enlightening, and I highly suggest the somewhat ignorant ideal to everyone. BE HAPPY!
... seriously, be happy. I will so kick your ass if you don't try it.
Some things to share:
• I wrote a new story despite having so many to complete, and it was very necessary on a personal level: A Funeral. It requires a lot of headcanon to make a lick of sense, along the lines of Scootaloo achieving her dreams despite being physically hampered early on, Rainbow Dash becoming both a Wonderbolt and her mentor, and er... hm. It's my first attempt at a sad story. When I originally posted it, it was very unpolished. I literally threw it together in an hour with a bottle of wine and a side of vodka, and it read as a raw tear in my flesh without a hint of sense. So after a few days I sort of cleaned it up and... gave up. I poured my heart into the idea of an emotion, and saw no point in pursuing the matter any further. If you haven't read it, that's okay. I'm just happy I was able to express something I had to and have it help me heal. My thanks to Queue and Softy 8088 for their input and suggestions. Really appreciated.
• You simply must follow VIDEOBAKERY on YouTube. I love them, and they frequently respond to my one-liner support messages. Mike is really, really good looking. Just go do it! You may recall a couple of their pony videos making it onto EqD a while back - trust me, they're funny as heck.

Very true. However, one must frequently be attuned to these written bastard offshoots to have any hope of understanding, eh? Therein lies the beauty of what we produce in this social mess.
I mean, I have no idea why I think Octavia and Vinyl Scratch are an acceptable couple, like Lyra and Bon Bon, save that I've found the idea attractive for so many stories here featuring them as such. It isn't even a question anymore, save that canon is empty and devoid of that particular scrutiny. We create depth and possibilities where there wasn't any to begin with, and I find that fascinating and wholesome. Comfortable. A warm hug, loving and supporting.
Mind you, I'm completely mad.
