... Actually, I myself never read Cupcakes, but I know the general gist of it.
I too have never read cupcakes, though I should probably do so to at least have that bit of knowledge if I read your Alt Ending to that story.

Nah, I'd just say you have a firmer grasp on your sanity (what little you may have) to not let works of fiction effect you in reality.
As for me, read cupcakes, best nights sleep I've ever had.
Read 'Precious Rainbow', now I want to take a crack at writing my own version/alt/whatever...
I personally felt that you ruined it by adding stuff to "A Precious Rainbow." It was a stand alone story, and didn't need anything added to it.
