See this? I helped did this. I had did helped do this.

Want to read a game of telephone between writers? Well, I collaborated in writing an unhinged story that each of the authors only knew the chapter before us. In order of apperanced copied from the description, it was written by PseudoBob, EileenSaysHi, The Sleepless Beholder, FanOfMostEverything, Rego (yours truly), Silver Needle, Dashie04, Bicyclette, and PseudoBob again. Quite a lot of fun even if I think I was the weakest link. There were some jokes I didn't get. Maybe I've been into Japan too long and I'm missing important memes. What is a Vantapink? I dunno.

Anyway, give it a lookie loo and a thumbs up if you enjoy it. Maybe leave a comment. It was all in good fun, and I'm looking forward to crashing more trains of thought in the future.

See you in the next blog!

Vantapink came about because the changeling infector was described as “pinker than Pinkie Pie” and then the infection became a thing of pure darkness.

Hence vantapink, a play on vantablack as vantablack is the darkest shade of black ever created. Slightly unrelated but the “pinkest pink” also exists and that likely played a part in the name.

But anyways do check it out it was good fun.

It was immensely enjoyable to take part in this with everyone, and I have to say, as the writer who received your piece as a prompt, it did not feel like the weakest link in the slightest. Rather, I hope my contribution managed to live up to it! Either way, deciphering the scenario and trying to figure out exactly what was happening and what I could add to it was so much fun.

Not sure it was intentional, but on top of what Dashie said, "Vantapink" was also part of some somewhat infamous circa 2016 art community drama: Anish Kapoor (whose work includes Chicago's own Cloud Gate Bean, for reference) purchased the exclusive rights to paint with vantablack — a specially developed substance touted as "the world's blackest shade of black" — much to the chagrin of a ton of other artists. As an act of protest, another artist named Stuart Semple created his own paint called "the world's pinkest pink" and explicitly made it available to use by everyone… unless you were Kapoor or otherwise planned on giving it to him. Not sure who's in the right or wrong in that story, but hey, it's a story I remembered.

Definitely giving this one a look!
