I'm sorry for that. I know it might be somewhat unfair to you as a content creator, but I'm merely following my own personal organizational scheme which I use everywhere (whether it is here, YouTube, or anywhere else that allows markers for content) to keep track of what I have seen, whether I enjoyed it, and whether I should have a further interest in it, all in order to give future me a general idea of what past me thought at a glance. And while my scheme could possibly be seen as somewhat of a misappropriation of the system as intended, I do believe that it is not entirely off base either.

Like and dislike are highly subjective labels that do not coincide with objectively good or bad but rather signify personal taste. I have yet to browse your library in full (you are on the list of authors I have bookmarked for a closer look should I ever find the time), but from the stories of yours I have read, I have found you to be a competent and enjoyable author that has captured my two favourite characters in this universe, and their interactions with each other, quite well.

The two stories you are probably referring to with your comment were not quite in tune with that assessment, however. While I read the first one without ever having heard of the subject matter in question—and therefore not knowing whether or not I would enjoy it or have any interest in it going in—I skimmed the second mostly because it was short enough and I'm somewhat of a completionist.

In the end, not only did their "gimmick" not capture my interest, but it also made the characters feel, well, off to me. It's something I've seen a lot with stories written with a focus on introducing a very specific issue or topic rather than a focus on the existing characters, leading to somewhat of a loss of their essence or identity as they are being made to fit rather than the other way around (for lack of a better explanation).

Whether this assessment holds true or not here, both stories started out as promising enough snippets of slice of life that ultimately fell through as far as my enjoyment was concerned, hence why they ended up on the (entirely subjective) "dislike" pile.

I see that you don't find my most popular story up to par with your standards. Well, considering you don't write anything, you're opinions are worthless.

Don't read something if you know it involves something you won't like, and certainly don't read the sequel if you didn't like the first one! That's just rude to the author.

Thanks for the follow.

I usually get an alert whenever someone comments on one of my stories or puts one on their shelves. I don't get any notifications for likes, just for comments, watches, and shelves.
