In this alternate universe, mares are the majority of guards instead of stallions due to the gender disparity (I'm just assuming this here, there isn't any basis behind this assumption other than preference). The alternate universe tag is on there because Princess Celestia chose to select from mares rather than stallions as the Guard (the latter being seen in the show), but in either case I like to believe that both genders can serve.

However, whichever gender Celestia chooses as the majority are what you're going to see most of the time. In this case, since stallions are in the minority in the Guard, there aren't as many actively serving. Shining had to work his way up just like everyone else, although obviously he'd have separate quarters than the other female guards.

Actually, I think that conflicts with some of the text in the story. That's what I get for writing the first chapter over half a year ago and not re-reading. I'll go back and change it so it makes more sense.

Are you going to continue this? I'm sure there are many people who are dying to know. me being "chief" among them.

That was the strangest thing I've read. I mean, Rule 63 guards but everypony else is normal gender, massive guard orgy (with a human, no less), illusory properties with the armor (though believable), the twists on the food and adding real-world food into it...

It is strange. You are on a pony fanfiction site reading Human x Pony smut. There is nothing that isn't strange from the right perspective.

I will be writing more, but I plan on having it delve more into the workings of the Royal Guard, and maybe shine a bit of light into Equestrian politics (from a guard's point of view, of course). I'll probably work on the former, the latter I'm still deliberating on.

That was quite a good read! If I had one criticism, it would be that the pacing went from "oh look human adjusting to living in Equestria, getting to know everypon- OH GOD PONY ORGY!". Pretty much the pacing to introducing the sex scene was a bit....fast compared to the rest of the story. It was quite a good read though. I liked the little touches like the armor, and the changling sabotage; some good ol worldbuilding is always fine with this stallion. So...in short, I look forward to seeing moar whenever you happen to have more ready .

I loved it; very Xenophilia-esque. It could pass for a side-story, but it also stands just fine on its own. Keep up the good work.
