When the world was made I was there. I watched as the first alicorn laid the foundations of the earth.

I watched as the stars glared to life.

I watched as the darkness gave way to the first dawn.

I am tom.

All of history behind me and eternity before.

I watched as the animals rose

I watched the ponies, the griffins, the zebras, and the dragons as they all raised empires

I watched as those empires fall

I am tom.

I am eternal

Stronger than the world's foundation.

I feel it turn beneath me as the stars winked in and out.

Ages passed yet I endured

Days, Months, Years, Decades, Centuries, Millennia

They all passed

With time a few of the ponies came to be, who could hear my voice

My power.

The unicorns I bond to the magic of the world

The Pegasi to the sky

All that was left was the Earth ponies,

so I gave them a part of my strength

With time, they raised an obelisk and placed me inside.

They would come and ask questions

foolish questions

With time I grew irritated

only those I wished should see me

So I commanded they make my maze

I would only let a few find my stone pillar

Only those with true understanding of beauty

In time I became legend

legend became myth

and with the rise of discord I passed from all knowledge

I felt the chaos he wrote

and I grew angry

So with my power I called a unicorn mare and Pegasus stallion before me

They knew not who I was but that did not matter

for In them I felt the conditions to bring forth new alicorn

like the ones from long ago

from the beginning

When I touched their mind there was no question

within the natural time an alicorn was born

I named her Celestia

And in but a moment another

I named her Luna

The two never knew that It was I who gave them life

Who bound them to magic, sky, earth

But it was not enough

They needed more strength if they were to overcome the spirit of chaos

So I did two things

The first was to bind Celestia to the sun and Luna to the moon

The second was to take my essence and pull from it that which the living could commune

Harmony

With my elements of Harmony, the two sisters did smite the Lord of Chaos and cast him into stone

Then time passed

The two sisters stood apart from the three pony kinds

determining it was not their place to rule

commendable

but foolish

With time, the discord between the ponies gave form to magic that should of never been

The windigoes

They brought Ice to the land

I thought all life would cease

but then I was surprised

The three kinds had come together to dispel the cold

and with wisdom I had not seen in them they asked the two sisters to rule them

Time passed again

years, decades, centuries, millennia, eons

but then I felt the warping

I had made a mistake

my first

Luna had broken

There was a tear in the world

One being could not take the strength of the entire night

With time her mind grew fragile

Then she noticed the fear of night in her little ponies

It hurt her

She had become corrupted

But before I stretched out my hand I felt a ripping in my soul

The elements were used against her

I could not believe that this was so

I looked and saw that it was

The sister of the sun had used my elements to seal away the only one close to her

This was against their very nature

Her connection to them was severed

She could not even move them

I felt her sorrow and fear

I knew what I had to do

With my strength, I placed the burden of all of creation on her

she would raise the night and day alone.

even if it killed her

A millennium passed as I worked

I was watching even closer than before

I knew that Celestia would not last forever

and that her sister would break again if released

I made my plans

I gave Celestia a dream

A family would come before her in a time before her sister came again

They would offer her a seed

She would direct them to a valley near the tear

In time, the ones who could bear the elements would be there when needed

save one

that one would come to her

the element of magic

the next word I burned into her mind

The one who was cast into the moon shall return

She will come to bring about eternal night

on the longest day of the thousandth year, the stars will aid in her escape

I pulled away as she screamed in agony at my power

I had work to do

For eight hundred years, I pushed and pulled laying the pieces for the parts they would play

In time I brought forth six individuals

Their souls would fit together strong enough to wield the elements

I pushed them to Ponyville

all but the one

the special one

Luna could not bear the sky alone

The Element of magic would bear the stars

She would be the stars

the stars would aid in moon's escape

With time it came to be

The elements purged nightmare moon

and the stars passed to a new master

I was glad

for a short time

That was until Discord escaped

He was sealed again quickly, but that is not why my joy was taken

Rarity

I do not know how or why, but Discord lead her to me

I had not felt such love in so long

but it did not last but for a breath

Her love was not from understanding me, but from an illusion

I had even given her my name

But in a moment I was pushed out and her eyes showed only disgust

I had forgotten how much I liked their love

to have it given back long enough then taken away was....

Painful

In only a few months I was used to plug a hole

How far I had fallen

I considered letting my mind fade

What is existence without love?

Then I remembered

I am Immortal.

I am tom.

and they WILL love me again

I'm going to go out on a limb, and say that Tom is the rock/diamond Rarity is infatuated with in the season 2 opener? I just watched it today. I guess you could consider me a dumbass that's totally out of the loop, as far as the fandom community is concerned.
