nice
to be fair, i expected much stronger levels of doubt after even the most BASIC of human history over-views...but Celestia and Luna are quite ancient beings so...seemed to go over well xD
Though now I like the notion of a UN Diplomat showing up and the Royal Guard at the ready telling them gtfo

Well, if Equestria did join, the sheer amount of gold would pretty much solve the financial crisis of pretty much every country. Either that or completely crash the world economy. Honestly, the thought of Equestria functionally money bombing the world into submission kind of makes me laugh (Eat your heart out, Mansa Musa). Celestia and Luna did live through and even initiated the unification of Equestria. If anypony would be aware that all countries/peoples have a past, it'd be those two.
Would one of these brothers happen to have a height complex?

Maybe Just try not to bring it up around the blonde one

heh...that's true. Once you introduce magic, and the speed some Pegasi can fly at....a meeting of worlds would be one hell of a event. Though I'd definaly see the gold-thing leading the Musa route..maybe a bit better if they trickle in gems and jewels...but at that point...Ponies would own the world~!...I'd see it as a double-win.
I have to admit I have been waiting for him to finally go over human history since I wanted to see Luna eat her words, but seeing you skip it well...
Luna's reaction is also more tame then I wanted. All that waiting and build up and instead of a bang it was more like a fart. Hell to make it worse it was even going to happen earlier only for them to get interrupted. Hope it was worth it, because it wasn't for me.
Anyway, I think I am done with this story. It isn't bad, but the misanthropy is starting to get a little on my nerves. The only reason I tolerated it was to see Luna's reaction to our history and it was sparse, but after the disappointment at you finally doing such a thing, I can no longer tolerate it much and to be honest I have been getting a little bored of this fic anyway. Good luck with the rest of the fic, but it's simply not for me.

Forget the gold. Just Rarity finding and generously giving valuable gemstones will cause a chain reaction and do it that way.
Their reaction to human history is a bit disappointing.

Well, those three are each over a thousand years old. I felt like it would make sense for those three to be able to handle it (maturity, experience, having lived through similar events albeit smaller in scale, etc.). Now, for normal ponies, the mane six, etc, their reaction would be more... animated. There is a story by Cackling Moron that has a reaction closer to what you were expecting (probably).

Fair, the story as a whole will end up being extremely long. And I'm me, I'd probably end up writing over ten thousand words on Cannae, and the Thirty Years War (I was tempted, but the story will be long enough as is). As for the reactions, I get it, but with their (Celestia, Luna, Aloysia) age and experience, I felt like a more measured reaction would better fit. That said, if a normal pony, or the mane six, or well, pretty much anycreature that lacks their (Celestia, Luna, Aloysia) experiences hear it, then yes, they'd have the reaction that you'd be expecting, or at least along those lines. All that said there is a story that has one pony reacting more in a way that you'd probably have expected.

What about WW2 and the massive loss of life?
11262423
Yeah, those would get to them. That's why I went with a (losses wise) smaller, yet still significant war that provided a solid microcosm into humanity (the Thirty Years War fills that bill nicely). Well, I suppose that war had similarly high losses, but spread out between 30 years instead of 4 (not entirely sure if that's better or not). Either way, WW1 and WW2 might have soured them too much. Julius decided not to use either to prevent that.

I mean you could have found a balance and maybe have a chapter where he gives a quick and fair summary of different events. I have seen plenty of fics do that kind of thing pretty well, so to be frank you really don't have much an excuse. I also don't buy their age and experience excuse since even they are stunned by the extent if it. Look at it from my perspective. This is something that has been building up since early on in the fic, with Julius saying one day he will go over human history and Luna being a little smug that it won't phase her one iota. I kept waiting and waiting and when it seems like it's going to happen, there's a distraction. Ok, are they going to continue that discussion soon? Nope, wait even longer and when it finally happens after all the built up and even one distracted attempt later, it was lackluster at best. If you are going to build a major event happening soon, you actually have to try and live up to the hype instead of half-assing it. Just a little advice in the future, because you will piss a lot of people off if you keep doing it like this.
What SUPERETHAN2 said… I am in agreement. Usually, chapter detailing Human history are my favourite, yet somehow, I dare say it was the opposite for this one.
I will continue reading however.
