Service bell===>Check with Monobunny. The service bell was gone. It would have been impossible to call Monobunny and check the signs authenticity.
The plot thickens. Looking forward to more.
checked with Monobunny <> Service Bell
Ah, I was wondering why the bell was up there. You can't summon Monobunny if the bell's not there.
Service Bell --> checked with Monobunny
Greyscale going all "Does this mean I'm a good detective?" was adorable, even if the outcome was obvious. Don't worry, Greyscale, we believe in you.
checked with Monobunny - Service Bell
Can't check with Monobunny if there's no bell.
Service Bell > "checked with Monobunny"
I concur with everybody else on this step.
Having binge-read this last night in a fit of pique, I'm very invested in this sort of... post-Elements world you've built, I think. Presumably this is after Twilight's coronation as sole ruler, as Celestia/Sol is a distant memory; but has the Festival of the Two Sisters faded out of use? If Pinkie Pie and AJ are still alive - and I have my own theory as to where AJ is - how did not only Greyscale, but everyone else, go this long without knowing of their exploits? And if not, is Pinkie pulling an Ultimate Imposter? And is the lack of mention of cutie marks on anyone a deliberate element? With the skill you've displayed I doubt it's just oversight.
As you can tell, I'm eager to read more! No rush, obvs, but very much looking forward to it.

Thank you for reading! Always glad to have another avid follower!
I won't delve into any of the story's surrounding mysteries, (Though once the 2nd trial is over I will most certainly be dropping some vague hints towards something that nobody seems to have picked up on yet. It happened 4 chapters in a row! I just want someone to notice and be like: !) I do feel the need to curb a particular point you've brought up.
On the subject of cutie-marks, the fact that they've gone unmentioned isn't so much of an oversight as it is a means for me to get away from so many of the potential annoyances that including them would entail. Having each OC be introduced and give a description of what their cutie-marks look like, followed by explanations as to when they realized their talents and got them, blah blah blah, essentially elongating the story without any real reason.
Cutie-marks as a whole are one of my least favorite aspects of the show and often feel poorly conceived. Screw Loose's cutie-mark is a loose screw, meaning her talent is either DIY or having mental problems? What about many of the random background characters with just random objects as their marks? Derpy has... bubbles? But works for the post office? Does having one 'central' talent prevent one from gaining other, equally impressive talents? Are the talents pre-destined? If so, by what mechanism? Does everyone have a noteworthy talent? Is such a thing mandatory? If so, why not the other races?
With the themes I'm going for in Trigger Happy and the ways in which I want to develop these characters (especially Greyscale), cutie-marks just boil everything down to an absolute simplicity. My decision to not include them isn't because there's some mystery about nobody having them. It's because if I was to make a point of cutie-marks existing, I would then have to either make Greyscale a blank flank, or give him a mark (despite being the Ultimate Nobody), and regardless of whatever I pick, that just means more gymnastics to work into the story to justify this, that, and whatever, which would only create issues and detract from the story I want to tell.
Apologies if that's at all disappointing, but I'd rather just be up front about these things.
Wait, wasn't Greyscale the one to propose meeting at the rec room? Seems like something that should be fixed.

Yeah.
You're right.
WTF.
It doesn't affect the story or anything, but the correction has been made. Genuinely no clue what happened there. I must've gotten it mixed up with when Yoko suggested to join Greyscale's group. Oops.

You missed a spot.

For the most part, I see where you're coming from; though I do respectfully disagree with the idea that including cutie marks would make it mandatory to explain them and the origins right then and there. A cursory reader would probably just assume they relate to their Ultimate monikers and leave it at that; and if they were different, well - the whole idea about Free Time is that you only get as far into a character's background and neuroses as you're willing to put in, so a story that Greyscale doesn't choose to look into can keep on being untold, if that makes sense. But ultimately you, as the author, are the one who makes that call, so I can suspend my disbelief there.
