Well, this may seem like an odd reason,but since you did Rainbow first, and she's one of the toughest characters, Applejack seems like a good choice next. (Challenge: She's my favorite, see if you can make me cry
Or, maybe since Rainbow's gone, you could kill off Fluttershy, since they were foalhood friends.

I get sticking to cannon, it can get fustrating dealing with non-cannon ships and dealing with overly-opinionated viewers. Although I am a major shipper myself, lol. But honestly, this chapter was almost made better by the fact you didn't add shipping. (Though, I will admit, I got some TwiDash vibes in the hospital scene)

Oh, of course. Obviously, doing them mostly alone kinda does give off that sort of vibe, so I can see that. Likely, stories will toe the line with most Twix[Pony] ships with how things play out, lol.
And yeah, Dislestia(I know tha's not it, but I find a funny dyslexia joke there) is a good ship, too. So, I may give Celestia a more prominent role when I get there. Course, I'm gonna take at least a week between chapters, because I find myself often re-writing and erasing whole chapters if I lose interest. I may even do an alternate timeline version of different chapters, lol.
Currently have one hell of a case of Writer's Block, so it may take a bit longer for an update, but I will try to get a new chapter out before September 15th.
