That comment about the Thestralian dreamers keeping their tech-base going has some fascinating implications. Are they really brute-forcing reality to keep their information network from exploding in a shower of sparks? That is an astonishing feat for any civilization, let alone one so very new to the ways of magic.
To whoever's watching the satellite footage right now, what does Australia look like by now?
Well, looks like New Zealand is all alone now.
Can't say I'm surprised by the quarantine, though I can only imagine how the rest of the world is reacting to the mass mutations. And what journalists might be doing to try to get a sense of what's going on. New Zealand must have more cameras than orcs at this point...
Though that may be unfair to the Rainbow Serpent. I'm sure it's keeping everything contained. Mostly.
Also nice to see more of diplomat Blueblood. Say what you will about the IDW comics, they really redeemed his character.
Looking forward to more.
This was a great chapter and I liked the interaction between Short Wing and Celestia. It was also nice to see Blueblood and it's good that he's not always like he was at the Grand Galloping Gala. Having Robin visiting again was also nice.
For a half second we thought there was a hint that Blueblood was crushing on Princess Screech. That wouldn't happen though, right...? 😏
Seeing Joyce in a position of close power with Celestia will cause many thoughts from Nightmare Moon.
Just a few short years until some real excitement happens mostly off-screen!
Seems Celestia isn't the only Princess yearning for true friends.
Some of the visiting bats: wait, she's a citizen over here?
