You might notice there was something a little weird in that story back there. And I don't just mean the spooky subject matter (hope it gave you the chills a little!). Maybe there was something wrong with it in parts. Did you notice? You're smart, I bet you did. If you need to go back and check again, I'll wait for you at the bottom of this page. Don't worry, I can be very patient.
I'm really good at hiding things sometimes, you know. I was, even back when I was a pony. I was the best at hide and seek, all the other little fillies would look and look for me, but I'd be nowhere they could find. Then I'd leap out at them when they least expected it and shout, just to give them a good solid fright. I was good at scaring ponies too, but we always ended up laughing in the end.
Anyway, I still like hiding things here too, and not just like I did in that last story. That was easy stuff, little stuff, just for fun. And the book makes it really easy to do more advanced tricks too. For example, did you know that
Some things only show up at night?
Isn't that weird? I'll be sure to leave hidden things here and there for you, like an extra game if you want. You don't have to try to find them, but you never know what I might be saying in places you can't see. It's almost like talking about you behind your back, except it's really right under your nose!
Did I say I was talking about you?
Oops, I'll have to pick my words more slyly next time.
Though, if you'll let me talk about you a little, I'd actually like to tell you something kind of personal.
Is that okay? I can wait while you think it over.
You've been really clever with the way you've done this
Yes. I noticed.
Some things only show up at night?
AHA! A SECRET!
Speaking of which, I know for certain that creepers only show up at night in Minecraft!
Heh. Heh heh.
Things are quite enjoyable here, with all the little clever bits. Not a lot of authors like to do all the tricks with font, colored text, and other visuals that the site has. I'm always pretty excited when I find stories like this, and your tale here is no exception.
Though, seeing that the book's 'pages' are always talking to the reader, at least so far, and the summary does as well, I'd suggest adding a 2nd person tag? Unless something happens to change this, the way you've written this is second person-y more than anything else.
Oh, my...
Glad that I've seen this kind of trick sOmEwheRe elSe beForE...
If you really like the horror genre on this site, you'll see which story(s) I'm referring to...
The first time this other guy did this, I freaked out so badly I screamed when I found out...
Nice one, book, nice one.
And what are YOU looking at?!

Uhm did you try turning on night mode?
Ok, reareading other chapters now, using the secret. That is some seriously awesome formatting work.
It's sad because I can only read stories in night mode.

Which book are you talking about?
Oh, I noticed, Muse. Thank you for being patient, though.
Ha. Cheating the system with middle-of-the-road formatting. I am a little disappointed, though. Instead of finding the secret on my own, it kind of just jumped out at me because of something I already had set. Oh well. This is still a very clever and interesting thing to do. I can't wait to see whst other "advanced tricks" are gonna show up!
I’ve seen some stories use text to hide from day mode. I’ve never seen text that blended into night mode on this site. Bravo! But now I’ll have to check both modes on each page.
(I could just look at the comments, but where’s the fun in that?)
I'm so glad I read stories in red or green depending on my mood.
Ohh boy what are they going to say
