Her sisters were (and probably still are) jealous and scared of Chrysalis. They used the only things they were better than her at to get back at her.

The female that begat her is an idiot. And so is Arachne.
Chrysalis is probably about to get the strongest power boost any Queen has ever gotten, and she's not going to have to share.
Not to mention she now has a dragon as a significant other. His greed totaled a town in less than half an hour, what would his wrath do?

Well, any doubt Twilight had that Chrysalis was exaggerating about her family has been put to rest.

Well, I can't wait to see Chryssie curbstomp her sisters and mother, those mentors l memories made my blood boil. Good that Twilight had shed any doubts she's ever had.

Yeah, I figure Chryssie's new dragon genes probably make her stronger than the other queens, plus she'll have unlimited access to freely given positive emotions.
