In a world where humans are stupid animals, what happens when a murderous, evil man becomes woven into the fabric of pony society? A dumb animal, with the precise and vicious mind of a practiced serial killer.
Sorry that I had to cut the chapter down, but 12,000 words seemed like a bit much. No ETA on Chapter 6 release, as I am rewriting and revising it to account for the split. Thank you for your patience everybody, sorry about the delays.
Tell us now for real, Mono: is this gonna be just a snuff fic and nothing else, like the original YHaY is nothing but pet play clop? Because I'm getting sickened of Simon Pollux killing and maiming as he pleases, no matter how plausible his impunity may be, and you describing the gorn as if you get a major thrill out of it.
7293336 No, there is a larger story at play, though this story does have quite a bit of murder in it. Serin will play a very large role in the second half of the story, and is a driving force behind the "thriller" part of YHaY: Twisted Product. One of the facets of Simon/Pollux is the fact that he derives some sick, perverted glee from the thrill of the kill. However, as anyone who has an interest in thrillers knows, leaving a trail can only end badly. Doubly so for Simon/Pollux. We have a detective and we have a murderer, thus you can expect a chase to occur.
7293633 Well, I can give you this: there is an action sequence where two ponies will die, several more will be injured, and three Manehattan police officers will die in the line of duty. The kill count slows after this due to Serin's activities in Equestria. Chapters 5 and 6 are the most brutal and unfeeling chapters in the entirety of the story, they were written with this in mind (part of the reason why I took so long in writing them, and why I'm stilling working on 6). Personally, I think I went a little far in conceptualizing these two chapters. I had a much more vivid and visceral death planned for Doppler, to be honest, but I decided it was too much to post. The next chapter is filled with fire, blood, fire, and a hefty axe.
And thus the cat chased the mouse, curious as to what made this one so different. But we all know what happens when a cat becomes too curious for it's own good, don't we?
7301483 It's cool, man. Certain setups aren't favorable for everyone. I was actually the first to upvote his comment. I tend to write most of my stories in this format, and I should start to experiment with different styles.
7310973 I just wanted to make a version of YHaY where people wouldn't sympathize with the human lead. I got annoyed of all of the "liberation" stories I kept reading, and decided to weave a story about a stone-cold murderer and a dedicated detective.
I suppose I can understand where he's coming from, on some level. The thrill of the hunt, the chase, basking in your superiority and victory over the prey. Toying with them, like one would play with an ant; so feeble, completely oblivious to the fact that you could end it's life with a flick of your finger, morbid curiosity on what would happen if you crushed one of its legs, placed it in a puddle, watching it futilely struggle to survive.
And the expressions. The fascination in knowing you can cause them to change from happy to sad to good to bad with but an action, imagining their very thoughts, trying to picture yourself in their place, as they move at least partially in response to said action. Life can be a fragile thing, and holding it in your hands, knowing you had the power over it, it's very...
Uh, Ahem. Anyway, good to see this story's been updated, and looking forward to what happens next in the story.
P.S. Pretend that vaguely disconcerting description of a psychopath's mindset doesn't exist.
7501515 That is the greatest thing I have read this month. Thank you so fucking much. Really, my dude, thank you. Haven't laughed that hard in a while.
7293255 Uh...author, that whole scene with him breaking her wings was painful to read. You know the body a little too well for comfort. Also, I worry about you.
7766054 No worries, friend. You should be worried about Heliopause and Morning Dew, though. On a scale of one to ten... A solid eight–no–nine point seven.
7311105 But I am still kind of sympathizing with him, I want him to never be caught and keep killing to his heart's content. And not just some random ponies, but to kill canon characters, that would be the best
8281490 Nice, read this a couple of months ago and I was thoroughly enjoying it. Good to see that the horse still has some kick in it, better be worth the wait :p
This makes me feel good! Good writing! I can easily identify with the main character! Reminds me of when I was a kid and me and my dog would go knife hunting! ;3 It's also nice to see one where the human is feared like we should be, HFY (HUMAN FUCK YEA!!!) story's are the best!!! |\|1(3 |<3|<'|\| \/\/17|~| 00 3|_337 6|?0!!!
7311105 I like it so far. I don't usually do gore (as in, it doesn't affect my opinion much), but here it's used for characterization instead of just for its own sake. The contrast between the murderer and the detective, their different mindsets and methods. The ease with which the killer slips through the world, and the difficulty the detective has just trying to catch up, keeps things nice and tense even right off the bat.
Fun stuff. I usually find YHaY to be a bore, so this is a nice change.
Pollux heard a wet, meaty crunch far below, and his smile grew. He had learned something very valuable indeed when he caught that bird so long ago: if you love something, let it go.
9096956 Well, let us know when ready. (side track) Just a thought that I get horny about, think about that remake planet of the apes trilogy, but fuck it up a bit, with the humans part in the movies replaced with one, more, or all other non-human civilizations, and the apes part( whether if anyone would like them to be part of the story alongside humanity(primate chant: primates together strong!/primates new beginning, and inevitable end! Or against them too)) replaced with humans, with humanity slowly crawling on a deadly and dangerous path to become a dominate-apex-species.(not just predator, anything in the food-chain can get eaten by even the smallest and weakest of things) Hell! Maybe put some religious history in the story by saying the great flood occurred because it was a last ditch effort to destroy humanity. I might do it, but I might not. For me there's alot of things to be taken into consideration, 'cuz I want a story to have the things that will get people to be interested into something so much that they will copy it and put there own spin on it, twist and sprinkle whatever they would like onto it that to get it done. Like you with this story, and so many others. This also goes for anybody, and they wanna do it, not just because they want too,(it's acceptable though by my understanding) but because they "need" too.
9892307 Personally, I feel the best way to kill someone is with a pickaxe. Preferably the sharp, pointy end that could penetrate deep into a skull if swung hard.

7293336 What he (She?) said.

This is the MLP fanfiction version of the human centipede: so ridiculous and overdone as to not even be offensive.
I'll give it a banal/10.
7293492 Yes, the signs point to that, but how long will it be before it's not just snuff with a bit of investigation on the side? Genuine question.
Personally, I have a hard cap on how many innocents I can watch die in a story, no matter how well-written it is, before I get darkness-induced apathy

Liked it. Loved it, and looking forward to lots, lots more of it.
7294130 Thanks. More on the way, but no ETA on chapter 6. Expect a wait. Sorry!
Know what...im not even mad

Yes. I've been pretty busy with work, but this will continue. I don't have an ETA, but I'm aiming for Halloween at the latest.

Also, I wish he spent more time tormenting that pegasus. More breaking her down physically and mentally. I can be a sadistic bastard.
