Displaced HIE(QG), Diehard Cosplayer Richard Donahue is propelled into a world of impossible prediciments. My Little Pony is real, life fibers are somehow taking over Canterlot High, and somehow...Richard is now...a Ryuko?
would the super wedding white looking dress the "I'm the super evil mom worshiper of world destroying clothes" lady wore be considered stronger than a 5 star uniform?
6153293 Senketsu, Junketsu, and pretty much all the other outfits that Ragyo Kiryuin wore are called 'Kamui'.
A 'Kamui' is considered ONE HUNDRED PERCENT life fibers.
So considering that a one star is considered 10% life fibers, two stars 20%, three star 30% and so on, a kamui would be 100%. Strongest by benefit of the highest numbers.
Power levels are bullshit.
So yes. The wedding dress would be stronger then a five star Goku Uniform.
You know, Ouran High School crossed with Kill la Kill would be something I'd watch, if only to try and contemplate whether the Host Club would be a Nudist Beach equivalent or not.
6153328 but you cant forget that Ryuko is made of life fibers incarnate that's why she is able to wear senketsu and why she gets more powerful every time they get life fibers I wonder what would happen if rarity met the sewing club captain or whatever she was called oh and SPOILERS: Ryuko and Ragyo Kiryuin are sisters heheheh I wonder if you could take advantage of the information the main character knows to troll the enemies
She did meet him. It was in cooperation with the sewing club that they were able to get a grasp on the fifty percent life fibers thing before Ragyo snatched her up.
6159738 No, just hovers above the passenger position on her bike. Only she can see it. Jack, while very blatantly evil, is always polite in the sense that he will fight alongside the one that summons him. ... Just don't let any other characters piss him off. He could, and would, literally punch their head off.
This is a rather interesting take on Displaced, getting both Equestria Girls human magical girl fighting as well as ponified shenanigans in Equestria proper, at the same time. I'm rather curious where it will go, the story needs more Maud, definitely.
It seems strange to me Ryuko who, knowing what she knows of the series proper, refuses to 'fully put on' Senketsu by getting into the exhibitionist zone. Further, we know the antagonists from Kill La Kill are active from the get-go, even without Ryuko's presence hounding them. Like, when the assassin shows up from the episode Trigger, that will happen regardless because he specifically was targeting Ryuko as opposed to the school. Doesn't she know this? And it will happen fairly soon too.
Lets keep the train going by asking another question to follow up with your answer to Ilikereadingthisshit... Ryuko. if you did, couldn't Senketsu take it? Life Fibers feed on blood, don't they, or is he picky about where it comes from?
Well, if this isn't a pleasant surprise, a Displaced story that's actually worth reading.
First, it's actaully decently written, both in the technical aspects and in the storytelling aspects.
Second, it's the first one that I've seen that takes place in EQG rather than Equestria, making it an interesting twist on the usual Displaced story.
The only complaint I'd have is the same one I have for almost every Displaced story: The crossover chapter is significantly weaker than the rest of the story.
Hell, the constant crossovers are one of the reasons I stopped reading Wibbly-Wobbly Timey-Wimey? Nope, Just Max halfway through. Another reason being that the storyline started crawling up its own ass. The third half would be the declining quality of the storytelling. (Suddenly, approx. 40k words in, Holo/Horo from Spice and Wolf appears in the story with no fanfare, having "always" been a part of Equestria. Seriously? It smacks of "I found this awesome anime and want to reference it in my story.")
There's something about the pacing in that story as well. Despite the word count being (mostly) reasonable for the events that occur and the time that passes, the pacing always felt rushed.
*Sigh* The thing that defines the Displaced offshoot from the parent genre, LoHAV, is usually what ends up sinking them. IE, Tokens and Summoning.
If you keep it to single chapters and space them out significantly it can work, but if there's too much in one go or there are too many crossover chapters then the story becomes disjointed. Either the main character is off doing something that usually doesn't matter to their story (and the readers don't care or are even bored) or a bunch of characters show up out of the blue (deus ex machina is generally a sign of bad storytelling) that the readers frankly don't give a crap about, except if they're fans of that particular Displaced's story.
I just found the story and will begin reading it sometime tomorrow, gonna state right here that I'm hoping it isn't more than 20% crossovers. I've found that that's my limit, 1 cross over every 5 chapters at most before I just lose interest.
It seems every other displaced story I've read in lately is more crossover than original story, it gets old real fast.
I hope she doesn´t start to fight the moment, she already has that much life fiber things, that she probably doesn´t even have to train anymore.
"Fine," he sighed as he pulled out a highly polished claw, "You can have this Quick Claw. If you keep it on you, you'll be able to attach slightly quicker."
i guess this is okay, at least he didn´t gave her psycho powers. I don´t like it if they start to absorb Powers they never could own.
6221787 i agree, if the story is with a crossover every two chapters, the actually story get´s somehow less interessting.
Is this gonna be continued? I noticed there's a huge difference between when it last updated and today, and you've already started two other fics. It's just that I wish there were more decent human-in-Equestria-girls fics, and the fact it's a Kill-la-Kill crossover is just awesome. I mean, if you got bored of this fic, that's fine I guess, I was just wondering...
6541100 I have every intention of coming back to this fic. I currently have the next chapter out to 2681 words, but I'm not going to publish until its at least 5k. Sorry for the horrendous wait, I HAVE been spending a lot of time on my other fics...
“Let those who value the freedom of all sapient life and the beauty of nature call upon the name of Medulla,"
Fuck.
This is one of the reasons why I and many others dislike displaced fics. The random crossovers mid-story completely ruin plot progression and kill the mood overall. Hell, the only reason I bothered reading this fic was because I've been in a Kill La Kill mood recently accompanied by the fact that this is one of very few real Kill La Kill stories on this site.
Despite that, I can say this story is written fairly well when random multi-universal encounters aren't taking place.
Two updates? Awesome!
would the super wedding white looking dress the "I'm the super evil mom worshiper of world destroying clothes" lady wore be considered stronger than a 5 star uniform?

Oh yeah, I forgot that that's how the the star system works. 10% life fiber for each star rating on the uniform.
You know, Ouran High School crossed with Kill la Kill would be something I'd watch, if only to try and contemplate whether the Host Club would be a Nudist Beach equivalent or not.
6153439
Yay, someone got that reference!
6153328 but you cant forget that Ryuko is made of life fibers incarnate that's why she is able to wear senketsu

6153496 heheh well I love the story so far keep up the good work
i wonder what would happen if she met sir freddy the golden!!!!(winkwinknudgenudge)
Nice crossover, to many displaced fics out there can't seem to do it right, they just waste it. Thanks for Writing!
I love me.
6154168 I love you too.
6151272 and judst with that only the mind was blowen!
Well, I was going to read this eventually, but that crossover bumped you up on my list.
WoW, Fluttershy really watch porn a lot, the Yahoi Kind if her reaction is any indication.
And the shipping begins.
Why would anyone be casting Magic Missile there's nothing to attack.
Honouji Academy.
I throw one of Jack's Orbs at your universe and it shall follow the Motorbike by staying just above the passenger position until used.
6159318
I attack the darkness!
6159570
Oh dear lord. So, it just follows her around until she cracks and uses it?
6159738 No, just hovers above the passenger position on her bike. Only she can see it.

I was reading the comics and ryuko makes a cameo appearance. My Little Pony:friends forever: Vol 3
6210776
Wasn't her coat blue in that reference?
6210813 yeah, she was an earth pony. Just like Mako.

thanks for the chapter!
Hot damn, apparently theres a dub now... and it doesn't sound half bad...
... Just casually waiting for that moment when she gets angry... THAT will be entertaining, to be sure...
ohhhh i thought she would finally fight herself.
I hope she doesn´t start to fight the moment, she already has that much life fiber things, that she probably doesn´t even have to train anymore.

6166297 i agree as well with "more Maud"
I can´t really say anything bad, i am not in the mood to say much right now, but it was a good read, i just hope it stays that way.
I don't know why but I love this story.
Dear Ryuko,
Now that you're a girl, have you tried... 'experimenting' with your new body?
And Senken, if she doesn't answer will you please tell us the truth?
Nice Displace story. Could we do a crossover with this?

6541517 It's ok, take your time.
I like this.... I like this alot.
Dear Ryuko
How does it feel wearing Senketsu?
And what do you think this thing about five stars is going to change the script?
Dear Senketsu
How does it feel being worn by Ryuko? (Asking because humans could not comprehend the feeling of being clothing)
And how do you think this development with five stars is going to go down?
Welp, this is fucking dead.
7084947
Stop that!
You know I'm slow, you don't have to guilt me!
Next chapter should be done in a couple weeks...
7084963 Didn't you say that in, oh, I dunno...
OCTOBER?
(nah man I'm just fucking with you.)
Fuck.
