chapter 1: a normal day in Ponyville

Today was like any other day, something happened and I end up fixing it because it was
my destiny as a 'student' to learn how to grow up to rule Equestria. One way to do that is fixing other
people's problems which I will happily do, but everyone needs a break sometimes. Not everyone is built to do
this then do that all day, it gets boring after a while.

Oh I'm sorry it would be rude of me if I did not introduce myself first. My name is Twilight Sparkle faithful
student of Princess Celestia, citizen of Ponyville, just doing what needs to be done everyday fixing
someone's problem they can't do on their own. But I'm acting a bit rude, it was my job when I asked to move
into Ponyville.

Thankfully I have my friends to help me out, like Pinkie Pie, a hyper active all bubble
gum pink mare who had the strange ability to disobey all the laws of physics like hanging in mid-air or moving
faster than Rainbow Dash, who can move at the speed of sound; Rainbow Dash is one of my other friends, she
has a cyan blue coat and you guessed it, a rainbow mane and tail, also the fastest pegasus in Equestria.
She is the only one to ever perform the legendary Sonic Rainboom, if you don't know what that is, then your
missing out.

She is also a huge stunt devil, never careful of the consequences, one day she's going to end up in the
Emergency Room, I worry for her, like the time she severly hurt her wing while flying. But lucky
for her we were there to cheer her up. I also found out and all of our other friends, that she had a geeky side
of reading, since she really enjoyed reading Daring Do and the quest for the Sapphire Stone.

Then there's Fluttershy, she is also a pegasus she has a bright yellow coat, and a pinkish mane;
traits to a true friend, she is always shy around new ponies or things or living things. She isn't
the most social pony and has a really soft heart. But if she need's to she will loose her shyness
and become very agressive using her 'stare' to control the animals, and save her friends.

Then there is Applejack one of the most honest ponies I have ever met and known. She has
freckles on some parts of her face, she has an orange coat with a blonde mane, she is
powefully built for a mare. Applejack and Rainbow Dash once had a competition on
who was the strongest and who ever wins would be the Iron Pony champion.
But in the end neither of them won. This shocked both of them which lead them to aruging, I hate it when friends argue. They should both know everyone has their own specialties, their ups and downs.

Another one of my friends is one of those perfectionist, that is one of the reasons she is one of my
friends, because we both don't have time for distractions and weonly need sucess; also she is a unicorn
like me. But as for me I am more into science then fashion like Rarity. There are also things that are different
between the two of us, like that she is afraid of dirt, it's like lava to her. Also she brings a mobile couch,
that I swear weighs atleast a hundred pounds, just incase she faints outside. Rarity isn't a liar nor a cheater
she is a great friend once you get to understand her.

She also has a sister named Sweetie Belle who is part of a group created by the three of them, Sweetie Belle,
Applebloom and Scootaloo. Applebloom is the sister of Applejack. Scootaloo who wants Rainbow Dash
to be her sister. Scootaloo always rides a scooter and try to act like Rainbow Dash, because she wants to be
'cool'. Applebloom is a mystery to me, she doesn't have any parents, so does Applejack.
Lastly, Sweetie Belle she is a great singer, but she still doesn't know it yet, which is a shame.

Oh and some of my other friends, I have Spike my purple/green dragon helper. He was jealous
when I got a new helper named owlicious, boy that was funny. He also got really greedy
and tried to frame him because he thought he was going to be replaced as #1 assistant. He also controls the
messages that come from Princess Celestia, all the scrolls she sends me. Princess Celestia is the current
ruler of Equestria, she has a solid white coat with a flowing mane, that is also translucent.

Her younger sister Princess Luna, she is the co-ruler of Equestria, she raises the moon,
while Celestia raises the sun. Her mane flows like her sister and has stars within it. Luna's
coat is also pretty impressive, it's a lot darker then mine that's for sure. Since my coat is only
purple, and a pinkish mane. I would say their cutie marks, but I think it's pretty obvious, what
they would be; a moon and sun.

"Spike do we have any new letters?" I asked for the millionth time.

"No Twilight," Spike said with a sigh, "You have been asking all day Twilight, is something
important supposed to come up today?"

"I hope so Spike, I hope so," I said. Atleast he didn't know why today was different after
my ramble yesterday something, came up in the Everfree Forest. Celestia believed
there was some strange force that had a dark feeling feeling to it, she sent me
and my friends to investigate. We could not help ourselves, by we I mean just me. I've been
shaking all day tapping my hoof walking back and forth I think Spike was worrying for me. But right now
I need to concentrate on the task soon at hoof.

After another hour, there was a knock from the door, it startled me, I nearly knocked of my lamp
and falling down the stairs. Eventually my body stablizied from all the near accidents.

"Wow Twilight we didn't know you could run that fast," said Spike with a look of awe
on his face.I noticed all of my friends sitting where ever they could. There was Big Macintosh,
a giant greatly muscled solid red stallion. He almost never has anything to say
throughout the time I knew him, he always has a stern look on his face as if worrying about
something. But he didn't look scared, he is probably just worried about his sister or something.

Then there's Ditzy a gray pegasus with derpy eyes but a quick mind, many are
decieved by her apperance, and immediatley think she is dumb because of her eyes, which
is just straight up bullying. But she has a lot of friends who are nice to her for who
she is; she is also a mail pony.

Lastly there is Zecora, she is a zebra who was originally thought to be an evil witch but turned out to be
a nice zebra, as nice as any other pony. But she still lives differently like in a hut. Her house is
also in the Everfree, where no pony ever dares to enter of all the dangers within
the forest. But since she lives in the Everfree, she is vital to this mission. Also my other
friends is here with me to go on the mission at hand.

"So darling, are we ready to go?" asked Rarity.

"Going where Twilight?" Spiked asked in confusion giving us the 'why have you not told
me yet' face.

"Oh no where Spike, just a walk for the grown ups," I said hastily. Spike sighed.

"Okay Twilight, whatever you say," he said, as he lazily walked up the stairs.

"Well come on slow pokes, let's get a move on, were burning daylight out here!" Rainbow
yelled excitedly.

"Alright Rainbow, calm yourself, were going to move alright, just chillax," I say.

"OOH, CAN WE HAVE A PARTY ON THE WAY TWILIGHT?!" Pinkie asked while
screaming in my face.

"No." I responded. She had the cutest puppy eyes I've ever seen but they would not work on
me, well atleast not today, I couldn't be stopped at this point for one of Pinkie's shenanigans while
this was going on.

"I said no Pinkie!" I yelled at her.

"Fine miss boring!" she yelled back. We all got up and started going out the door, before
Pinkie started again with her crazed eyes.

"C-" she started saying.
She some how didn't even get to finish, poor Pinkie, she always had a soft spot
when it came to partying and making others happy.

"NO!" eveyoned screamed in a unison. We all didn't have time for parties and after that,
we were finally of to see what was waiting for us deep in the Everfree forest...
