Made the appropriate corrections, thanks! And I'm glad you liked that joke, I was somewhat fond of it myself, hehe.

I'm glad you like the story so far! And it's a bit of a change of pace for me too, having a character tied down like that. It's rather interesting to write, and led to me getting asked one of the most amusing questions I've ever been asked, "What's life like for someone who isn't a murderous loot hobo?"
Though I admit, I'm deliberately ambiguous on the narration. It'd be fair to call it a cop-out, but I sorta decided I wanted to forgo a framing device for the narration. I didn't want to give away any clues about how the story might eventually end.
I found the switchover to this chapter a little jarring, but it has robots and computers in it, things that I recognize and kindasortaknow sorta!
And I guess it's more a response to the chapter prior, but I can kinda relate to not-so-honed social skills and the frustrating trials that come with it. That said, I lack Alloy's business savvy, so I've been trying to get more acquainted with pop culture and movies and whatnot to at least have some common ground to talk about when things come up. Which now means I have like 3 things that I do fairly often that I connect with Alloy in regards to. Yay!
One door is only good for last stands, as it gives you one direction to attack and zero directions for the enemy to ambush you. For hiding, you want a place with multiple escape routes.
Don't take that as a story critique, I just like examining combat strategies.
This sounds familiar. Either I have de-ja-vu or however that's spelled, or you really need to drop that habit, Alloy.
Wow, what a beautiful scenic tour of Whine-country? One location for complaining isn't enough I see...
Suddenly, I'm imagining this scene with the sound effect of the pan hitting an enemy from Team Fortress 2/Left 4 Dead... what is wrong with me?
A bit later than I had wanted to but I have read the chapter now. Made me think of Fo4 and looting ild buildings to ones gun, only for shit to hit the fan

Hehe, I suppose that's a good point. Amusingly, my Fallout 4 character (based on Alloy, because I'm a dork) spends most of her time just looting and building stuff.
In a lot of Foe stories, the protagonist will, at one point or another, see a skeleton or a crib that makes them sad for the tragedy that happened. The memory orbs spark that a lot. All the stories fail to give the character a real reason to fight for what they're doing though. They have moral reasons, but they don't really have to. Alloy does, her livelihood and survival are on the line, in a way that little pips never was. I never considered this, but little pip is a bit of a mary sue.

I suppose but I expect her actions were due to moral conditioning in the stable and the sense of right and wrong that was common pre-war
Or you could simply apply her to Quills logic as she is " One of the idiots who lives in it" and wants it to conform to her values, she is more a revolutionary than a Mary Sue
