Trixie had a simple plan with few steps: buy the magical artifact, use it to get revenge on the town that destroyed her home and the entirety of her worldly possessions, profit. Of course, Trixie hadn't actually thought this through beyond the 'sweet revenge' part, but she was sure that the details would fall into line easily enough once she got the ball rolling.

And then she got the artifact, and decided... differently.

This is the story of how a single pony set fire to the bad writing of an entire region, purely by being one big spanner in the works.

This story is a sequel to Fallout Equestria: The Light Within

Over a hundred years ago, the War raged between the Kingdom of Equestria and the Zebra Empire, but these two great powers were not the only players on the world's stage. Lying in a position both advantageous and perilous between the two warring nations was the Griffin Commonwealth, which miraculously managed to maintain its neutrality while selling technology and soldiers to both sides. They would be spared the worst of the Last Day, when the megaspells fell and burned the world, but were not safe from the side effects of their trading partners' deaths, nor even from the spellfire entirely. The Commonwealth, like the rest of the Old World, died.

Cast out from his homeland, it is in this place that Doc finds himself, among the griffins. Yet even if this place, unfamiliar as it is, he seeks to find a way to live in a post-megaspell world and to find some common ground with his new neighbors.

To enlarge the sphere of virtuous harmony of the benevolent design entrusted to us by Equus; and it is most fervently to be hoped, that the conduct of every member of the order, as well as those publications, that discover the virtues which actuate them, may tend to convince all races that the grand objective of the Minutor Crystallum is to promote virtues among all races.
General Cherry Tree, Writings
Letter to the Grand Forum of the Virtuous and Accepted Minutors for the Commonwealth of Canterlot, Snow Moon 776 Equestrian Era

With the fall of Equus to the Vices, a small consortium of crystal miners banded together to preserve the culture, faith, and knowledge of the fallen empire. Originally, they had a very minor role, as Equus’ lifestyle continued and thrived in the Crystal Empire under the reign of Crystal Hope, and later Queen Amore Cristallo. However, when the Crystal Empire vanished upon the defeat of the Mad King Sombra, the Minutor Crystallum took it upon themselves to seek out old records and keep them safe.

While the Adamantem operated within the political structures of the foundling nations or directed the organization, and the Vicus kept to their archival duties, the Ipsum used the knowledge preserved to find more and learn more, training in the ways of spycraft and strategy to acquire those things valuable to the society of miners.

In the spirit of the Equusese Empire, their society included members from all races; drakes, wyverns and kirins from the east, griffins from the west, and zebrica from the southern savanas, to say nothing of the usual pony races, donkeys and mules that made up a the significant number of small nations between.

In Cloudsdale, a small cell of Ipsum had been assigned the task of infiltrating the Wonderbolts with little success. The closest any had gotten was the reserves, none making the cut for the recruits or elites. In the meantime, they kept to their usual work for the order; gathering intelligence and going on missions to gather historical artifacts…

And then they found a lead on the mother of all artifacts; the relic of the Virtue of Life itself.

[One hundred years before Nightmare Moon's Return]

The Equestrian province of North Everfree; forged by those who made a living within the valley, have been through hardships of conflict, famine and its notorious winters. After a recent conflict with the Griffon Kingdom to the north, the national treasury has been drained. To refill its coffers, the Equestrian crown enacts a series of heavy taxes on the provinces. However, the taxes were enforced without consent of some provinces; especially North Everfree who had seen the blunt of the fighting and struggling to meet ends meet as well as rebuilding their lost lives.
With this fresh in their minds, they declare their secession from the country and independence. Now standing off against the might of the Royal Army for the very fate of this new Commonwealth, rag tag and ill equipped militias consisting of friend and foes alike will change the course of history and issue a new era for generations to come.

This was inspired from The Pacific's theme "Honor" and some other random music tracks, as well as the movies "Gods and Generals", "The Patriot" and other random movies, and my own creation; in turn was inspired from the show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic".
